( I'm about to stop making my posts formal because it's so difficult for me ;-; )

Breezepaw nodded, trotting over to his mentor's side. "Are we going on a patrol or hunting patrol?" He asked questioningly, impatient to know the answer. Although he did like going on hunting patrols, it was mostly fun to go on border patrols. Cats could be spotted on their territory. He would be able to combat on true enemies!

"Well I guess a walk sounds good right now." He admitted before perking up when hearing his name and Owlstripe's name being called for a border patrol. The male gave a small sigh and he tried to keep himself confident about going on a border patrol. "A-At least it will kind of be like a walk." Pigeonbite mumbled to the male warrior. He turned around before calling out to Reedstar as he padded over to his leader with a calm look, "Alright Reedstar. Owlstripe and I will get on that right now."

Hey! Wait for me! She yelped, running after the swift she-cat. Even if Spottedpaw got a head start to the race, Yarrowpaw knew she could just catch up to the older apprentice. Trying to catch up to her, she started to become more and more exhausted. The advantage for Spottedpaw, she was older and had more experience. Yarrowpaw was just a moon younger than her. Her guard wasn't going to be let down though. With all her might, she started to speed up, but stopping to walk, seeing her denmate standing there. What's the holdup?

Pebblenose let out a small purr and took a step back to where she was before. "I'd love to join! Of corse, if that's okay with you, Emberflight." she said, turning to face the leader of the group. The molly smiled a little, glancing down at Sagepaw. "Hi Sagepaw!" she meowed cheerfully. She nodded, smiling. "Apparently!" she meowed, shooting Emberflight another questioning glance.

Owlstripe nodded to Pigeonbite, standing and following after the tom. He looked at Reedstar with a respectful smile and a tiny dip of his head before turning to Pigeonbite. "This is a good way to stretch our legs." he said to the tom.

Reedstar smiled at the two toms, teasing lightly. "Don't worry, we are mostly going to be working on having the apprentice's scent things and see if we can track down the pesky kittypet. But if that would be too much we can ask someone else." She purred, tail flicking anxious to go, Reedstar was tense, this gathering would be her first as leader, she was nervous.

Spottedpaw blinked realizing where she had stopped. "Sorry. It's... It's nothing. Common!" With that she was off again, hardly winded from her sprint earlier. She stopped ways away from the alligators, where even in high tide thick roots made good perches for hunting. Fish where lazily circling through the small area, the bottom just deep enough so you could still see the sandy bottom clearly but large fish could live happily.

Nodding her head a bit confused by Spottedpaw's answer, she turned around to see if the others were catching up. They weren't in her sight, so she assumed that they were just walking to find them. Looking over at Spottedpaw, she started to remember what they were meant to do on this patrol. We should probably start hunting. We don't want to come to the clan with nothing. She said with a slight sigh. Although she did enjoy hunting, it wasn't as fun as racing or playing games as a kit. Being an apprentice was fun and all, but being a kit was so much easier.

Redfeather followed after Duststorm. He slowed when the two apprentices came into view at last; grateful the two didn't get into danger. Swiveling his ears; he did catch what Yarrowpaw said and was proud of his apprentice. The warrior then approached the two cats calmly. "Next time, don't run off you two. High tide can be dangerous," Redfeather told them.
