Am I just getting old or are the Mario games becoming increasingly more childish?

For example, I've been playing Super Mario 3D World. Some parts of the game seem a lot more childish than previous games. They turned bombs into soccer balls, some enemies are football players, and I'm sure there's more that irks me while I'm playing but I can't think right now. And Bowser drives a car now...Too childish or too realistic? I can't decide. Either way, I like the old style better, when bombs were actually bombs, and enemies stuck to the traditional idea of enemies.

No matter how childish they may seem to me, I'll still always love the games. I'll probably force my kids to play it just to have an excuse to when I'm older.

I plan to force my kids to play Mario as well but if there anything like me they'll enjoy it (also get angry but no one needs to know).

Has anyone heard of Hotel Mario?

I actually like newer mario games more? Probably because Bowser gets a bit more screen time and just, more bowser in general. I love him shamelessly.

If it wasnt for my parents i wouldnt be a gamer so i totally plan to make my kids play games with me.
Not that I'm having kids.
Im sure I can borrow someone elses. My sisters perhaps.

Ok, I think Im the only one in SSB4 that uses mario characters, because everyone online is Cloud.

I have the nintendo network I.D. now, and Ill pm it to anyone that has the game and maybe we can play. I am sick of fighting the same character that is overpowered.

Well, okay. I worded myself badly - don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the modern Mario games. It's just my personal preference for bombs to stay bombs, not soccer balls. Maybe childish was the wrong word. More censored maybe?

But Nintendo Fan - I'll be purchasing the game soon. When I get my hands on it we can definitely play! I won't be spending money on a DLC character for quite a bit of time, and I'll most likely be terrible at first. So I'll make you feel better.

I disagree. the worst Mario game has to be Mario's Time Machine, an educational game for MS-Dos and then the nes and snes
