Smokestar shifted in his nest, it was dry and scraped his skin. He yawned and stretched his limbs. Sitting up, he started to clean his gray fur. He padded swiftly out of his den and looked around the bright and sunny clearing. Another cloudless day. Stifling a yawn Smokestar settled on the edge of the clearing.

Dappletail. She cat. Open

Dappletail sat perched in her nest, looking outside.The pretty calico she cat started to wash her fur. When she was finished she walked out side and up to Smokestar. "What are we doing today?" She asked.

Wildfire got up from her nest in the warriors den and stretched her aching legs. She then got up an went out of the den. Scorching hot day like usual, she thought to herself. Then she sat down to wash the bits of sand and dust out of her fur.

Smokestar looked up from his washing. "Go collect a hunting patrol, see what you can find," he ordered as he spied Wildfire behind them. Dappletail followed his gaze and padded up to Wildfire. "Do you want to go hunting?" She meowed as she approached.

Kestrelpaw's eyes fluttered open to her head rested on her paws. The apprentice sighed, raising her head and getting back up on her fours. She stretched and casually padded out of the den, and back into the blinding sunlight.

Smokestar watched Dappletail pad off, then turned to Kestrelpaw who had just walked out of her den. He approached and dipped his head to the loyal apprentice. "Hello," he said, "how are your stores holding up?" He asked as he sat down next to her.

The little black cat dipped her head in respect to Smokestar and smiled. "Quite well, actually. However, I just need to go find some more Marigold!" Kestrelpaw beamed at the fact they were barely low on any other herbs other than Marigold. Today, she was extra happy-go-lucky.

She stretched as she got up from guard duty, it had been a long, hot night. It seemed the day would be no different. Around her the other cats stirred.Tired, she went and lay down in the shade.

"Hunting sure. I'm ready to go." She got up and shook off her pelt.

Smokestar dipped his head to Roseclaw as she passed, then turned his attention back to the medicine cat apprentice. "That's great!" He beamed at Kestrelpaw. "Mind if I go with you? I really need to stretch my legs," he purred as he arched his back in emphasis.

(OMG what if Smokestar had a crush on Kestrelpaw? That would be amazing! XD )

Dappletail smiled at the fellow warrior. "Good, let's go," she meowed as she started to walk to the camp entrance.
