Scarlet sighed, looking at the camp. She stood on a rock, on a small sloped mountain. Scarlet lifted her head, barking a long bark. She was scared yet confident. But why was she? Scarlet just all of a sudden felt like being scared and confident. The border collie gave out another long bark, her ears laid against her head and her muzzle pointed towards the sky. She jumped off the rock, slowly making her way down. Scarlet wasn´t going to take any chances, the whole mountain could start raining rocks from it´s tip if it wanted. As she jumped onto the ground, she sniffed the air, searching for any strange scents.

Damin concentrated on keeping his strides quiet. His pelt bristled in the cold breeze of his swift running. He couldn't slow down, but he couldn't possibly get any louder as the humans would hear. His wet, black nose floated just above the leafy pathway, following the scent of the murderous humans. No one could stop him. No one could tell him not to do this. This was his mission, and he stuck to it like super glue. This is dangerous, Damin thought for a second, but he quickly pushed it out of his mind and kept suite. He snarled, his fangs showing from under his jowls, and flicked his tail in the wind.

She dodged around trees, ducking under fallen branches. The woods were a dangerous place to be at this time of year. Humans was the main cause. Though most dogs loved their humans, the dogs of the wild hated them. Scarlet jumped over a log, her tail flicking up. She landed on the other side with ease, dirt flying everywhere as she landed heavily on the ground and continued to run. The she dog ran on, her feet landed on the ground, her pace quick. She was far away from the camp now, and was out in the open. Trees started to thin out, running into a meadow. As she neared the end of the meadow trees grew thick again, and she was once more closer to the camp.

Kanuga ran off toward Scarlet, then raced right past her. He ran on, and laughed, going out of the camp and into the forest. He wanted to explore, and his paws itched for adventure.

Storm lifted her head, her nose twitching as she caught a much fresher scent. She barked softly to alert Damin, her her tail lifted in silent command.

"How fresh?" Damin asked, slowing down to meet Storm's pace. His wet nose shot through the air, sniffing in every direction to find the fresh scent. His tail dropped and his expressionless face met a look of determination, courage, and revenge. He wanted to attack. He wanted to kill. Damin stood next to Storm, looking proud and strong with his broad chest puffed out and his strong shoulders pushed back. He wanted a fight.

"Not too long ago, maybe just this morning, or last night. We need to track it to the main human camp, and report back to Grim." She smiled, her heart racing with excitement. "Come on, let's go!" Her tail wagged, and she lowered her head to follow the trail.

[Bluish]

The sounds around Damin were completely oblivious to him; twittering birds, crunching leaves. The only sound he couldn't help but focus on was the quiet, yet noticeable, buzzing sound in the background. Damin listened, and as he followed the trail behind Storm, his ears pricked and he realized that the buzzing was coming from where they were headed. "Be careful," Damin whispered to Storm cautiously, his heart beating slowly as he kept his body close to the trail and his nose on the scent.

Storm glanced back. "I think those are the things the humans use to chop down the trees." She stopped, seeing something us ahead. She peered through the slight cover of the stumps, and dropped to her belly. "Damon, come here!" She lowered her ears and let her tail rest on the ground. Up ahead was a small group of humans.

[Bluish]

Damin [not Damon x3] gasped and lowered his body to the ground, crouching behind a large shrub. He pushed his head through the foliage quietly and watched. Damin's ears went back, his whole body tensed and his mouth pulled up in a silent snarl. "We have to tell Grim," He whispered to Storm, his hawk eyes never leaving the human colony before him.

"No, not yet. This is just a small patrol, there are much more than this. We have to watch them, follow them." She snarled low, keeping her voice down as she crept forward as if she was stalking prey, keeping as low as she could. "If this goes on for too long, we'll have to turn back..." She fretted. "We'll wait until the moon reaches to peak of it's climb, then go if they haven't taken us to the camp."
