Sbe quickly dived down from her perch on the fence. "A-are you hurt?" she asked her mate.

Fadedecho moaned and sat up. "Nah, I'm good.. just got to get used to my blindness.." He sighed and stood to his paws, shaking off his pelt from debris. "Okay, let's head back to camp and gather those cobwebs." he meowed cheerfully and started to head the direction he thought it was, only to crash into the fence. "Ouch.. mind helping me, Beetlenose?" he asked with a small chuckle.

She nudged Fadedecho and smiled. "Follow my scent..." sbe said and led them to the dead log. "In there..."

Fadedecho turned around and nodded, following her scent. The tom felt his cheeks growing hot, and he knew he was embarrassed. Fadedecho stuck his paw inside of the dead log and grabbed some of the cobweb. He stepped back and waited for her to do the same. "Beetlenose, you might want to grab some too, if there's any left, because then you'll have plenty and won't have to come back as often."

The fluffy calico she-cat was padding towards camp with a squirrel that she had caught clamped tightly in her jaws. She turned her mismatched gaze up as she heard what sounded like someone sobbing in a tree. Her head tilted to the side and she wore a look of confusion on her face as she recognized the cat. She dropped the mouse at her paws and set one paw on the base of the tree as she peered up at the sand colored tabby. ''Sandclaw? What're you doing up in that tree?''

Sandclaw quickly blinked away his tears, hoping she wouldn't notice. He sniffled and looked the other direction, hiding his blotchy face from her sight. "I-I'm not doing anything.. just, um.. hunting a squirrel." he lied, knowing that she probably wouldn't be convinced. Sandclaw had always been a terrible liar, and it didn't come in handy. He gave in, "I'm.. just.. upset..." he admitted, although she probably was well aware of that. He didn't need to include why though.

Shadowheart managed to climb up the trunk of the tree and pull herself up on a branch that was about level with the tom's. Her whiskers twitched in amusement as he lied about climbing up the tree to hunt squirrels. She felt sorry for the tom, although she didn't know what was bothering him. ''Because the squirrels that you were hunting didn't mistake you for a nest while you were sitting up here?'' She tried to make a sarcastic joke to cheer the tom up. The calico she-cat was never the best at cheering any cat up and trying to make a remotely humorous joke was the only way that she knew how. Shadowheart silently willed that the tom would tell her why he was upset, but she wasn't going to press the issue and cause him anymore problems.

Sandclaw decided to look at her, knowing that she already knew he was upset. He sniffled from crying so long. "Thanks, Shadowheart. You're pretty good at cheering others up." he said sarcastically and sighed, blinking away tears that were about to come. "If you must know what's upsetting me, it's.. Hollytail.. but it's not actually her fault.." He trailed off, bursting into more tears as he was reminded of the argument they had earlier. "It's mine. I am such a jerk.."

Shadowheart curled her fluffy tail up around her paws as the tom spoke to her. ''Well, I don't blame Hollytail for being mad. I'm pretty sure that I'd be furious, too.'' She tilted her head contemplatively before she spoke again. ''But everyone makes mistakes and I'm sure that she'll eventually forgive you if you actually try to act better than before.'' She shifted uncomfortably on the tree branch as she tried to gain more balance. Shadowheart wouldn't admit it to anyone, but she had a slight fear of heights and she didn't completely like the idea of climbing up in a tree. ''Just try to talk it out with her. Climbing trees and stressing about it isn't going to do either one of you any good.''

Sandclaw sighed and looked down at his paws. It wasn't that simple, and he expected her to understand. But of course no one could understand. Hollytail wasn't like any regular she-cat... she had a short temper, and that was mostly what made her unique. But he knew, that eventually, she might forgive him. But only if he improved and actually tried. This might be his last chance. The tom calmed down and wrapped his bushy sandy tail around his paws, looking into Shadowheart's mismatched eyes, a solemn expression on his face. "You know what Shadowheart? You're right. Over time, Hollytail will eventually forgive me for all the horrible mistakes I've made. But you know what? I've learned from those mistakes, and I'm not likely to do them again. Ever." he said, sounding quite confident. But deep down inside, Sandclaw wasn't so sure of himself. In fact, he felt like he was trying to convince himself more than Shadowheart. He flashed a smile at her. "You know, you may not be the best at cheering others up, but you sure are good at giving advice.. now let's just hope I can learn from my mistakes and from your excellent advice." he laughed lightly, still feeling a bit upset inside.
