Dusty looked up at the new cat. "U-uhm I was just, um.." She looked down on her paws nervously. "I-I was walking through the forest.. and I heard a mouse and tried to catch it- and um, caught it, and.." Dusty trailed off. She flicked her gaze signaling the cat to where she dug the shallow hole of the remains of the mouse. "I-I'm sorry if I took your catch, It wont happen again! Promise!"

Shadeclaws eyes flickered to the hole, then to the cat again, then sighed. "I hope you won't, your in MistClan territory." She snapped, then softened her tone. "You may take the rest of the mouse, but please don't trespass again"

"It's okay, sorry about falling on you. It's a major counter-attack, so if you don't know it, I can help you. Also, the lunge at your shoulder, used to knock a cat to the ground or off balance. Typically you use more weight but I didn't know how you responded to the attack. Some cats feel pain, others just fall out of balance." Rosesong mewed. She glared at Romulus with bright eyes. "How swift are you?" Rosesong asked. "Speed attacks are good against Dryclan as that mousebrain has young ones fighting for him. The quicker we can get past them, the easier it will be to snatch a life from Crackedstar. I can practice a few with you." Rosesong mewed. She twitched her ears around, looking at the others practicing. "You have an advantage over me, being that you're not fluffy, you don't have a long, heavy pelt to weigh you down. It's a blessing and a curse." Rosesong chuckled.

Blossomstar fell , trying to get them both, but failing. She lashed her paws about hopelessly. Until she stood up. "Amazing you two! You knew the best option was teamwork, and that is a great start." Mewed the impressed leader. "Would you like to work on anything before I start teaching you the ancient moves of Mistclan?" Asked Blossomstar

Lightpaw purred, giving a little hop of excitement. Her claws raked at the ground. "Ancient moves of Mistclan?" She asked.

"Yes, young Lightpaw. The ancient moves of Mistclan. You are not to learn it until you travel to moonstone to become a warrior." Mewed Blossomstar. "But seeing how we are to be attacked, we might have to learn it now" mewed the leader. "It all started with our first leader, Mist. Many, many, many moons ago he invented these special series of moves, to help against the great attack of Dry and his tribe. Most of those brave warriors, accept for Dry, he was not brave, but cowardly, died in this battle at the Twoboulders, exactly where we are to fight tonight. But the ones who survived passed the Ancient Moves of Mistclan down to their kits." Blossomstar mewed. "These moves are only to be used in serious matters, so... Are you ready to learn them?"

Lightpaw gulped, then nodded, her face growing serious. "Yes Blossomstar." She mewed with a dip of her head. Her sky blue eyes were wide with wonder at the mention of their founder. She had always been interested in the stories of Mist. She wondered what was so special about these moves. Her fur prickled with excitement.

((I have not planned what these moves will be... As soon as I figure out what these are, I'll post. ))

"I know what I'm doing and I know that using weight as an advantage is good. Don't instinct me bella. I said I was a pro at combat." Romulus hissed before instantly dashing over and pinning Rosesong down. "So, where do we start with speed moves? Bring it on!"

"Quick counter-attacks such as this." Rosesong mewed. Just a second after being pinned, she kicked Romulus in the back legs, sweeping his paws from beneath him. While he was still on the ground, she got up and pounced, standing with one paw digging into his side, the other near his neck. "Moving as quickly as possible can also mean they can get dizzy from landing on the ground hard enough, making it easier to pin them down and give a chance to bite and scratch. If I wanted to, I could reopen the wound on your face with you pinned like this. There are different speed attacks that depend on how fast you do them. This one is fun with the apprentices, they don't weigh much so you can get right up and walk off." Rosesong mewed with a slight laugh.
