A black she-cat with fur that glimmers in the light of the moon lay on a rock in the forest. Her ocean-blue eyes scan the thick pine trees as she grooms her paw. At first, her eyes pass over you, but she looks once more to see what she missed. She spots you. You stand there, confident but a little unnerved. Who knows this mysterious cat's intentions? She sits up and stares at you with eyes that command both respect and a position of authority. "Who are you?" Although you expected a question like this, you were caught a little off guard and you replied with half-honest "I'm just passing through". She stares you up and down, then lies back on her rock, curling her tail around her paws. "Ah. You know, I could use some cats like you. How would you feel about joining my clan?"

Rules

1. I love you all, so when I say no power playing, I do mean it.
2. Please follow all of Tess's rules. Which includes being appropriate at some moments
3. Try to include everybody. If there's someone struggling to jump in, try your best to make it comfortable for them
4. If you're going to have a high position, I will ask that you are active
5. I want to keep this as traditional warriors as possible so no powers or weird pelts or eyecolors or something like that
6. When speaking out of character, use parenthesis
7. follow warrior code as much as possible, or there may be punishments...
8. Love drama! But remember that if your characters argue, we're all friends as people
9. Don't be your own mate please
10. You can have as many cats as you can handle, try your best to keep genders even

The black she-cat from earlier invites you up onto her rock. You follow her direction, and sit next to her. Somehow, she makes you feel comfortable. "So... If you do want to join Darkclan, you should tell me about yourself. What do you have to say, traveler?"

You are surprised at how big it is, and almost comment about the size but you bite your tongue as she continues. "Now, I should tell you about the cats..."

Father is Cloudwhisker who was mates with Heatherheart, however not long after Birchpaw was born her mother died. Cloudwhisker was very distant with most of the clan after that completely focusing on Birchpaw. Her father is very protective and attentive still, and is very proud she became the medicine cat apprentice. Birchpaw was very young when he mother died and doesn't remember her at all. She still feels like something is missing though and longs for the same relationship with a cat that one would with a mother. Because of that she becomes attached to other cats emotionally very quickly.

History: He was living on the streets with his brother, mother and father. One night, dogs attacked where they were staying. He tried to help his father fight but he did not allow him to help. He watched his father die and he couldn't do anything. As his mother continued to fight she told him and his brother to run. They hesitated but did as told. His brother was killed while he was escaping, once again he watched another one of the cats he held dear die. And he did nothing, the guilt kills him and he blames himself for their deaths. He found Darkclan and proved himself, he is so thankful for what they did. They gave him shelter and prey. He is forever thankful.

As an apprentice he trained with Heatherheart, he became a warrior a few moons before her but stayed very close with her. No one was surpised that a few seasons after she became a warrior that they had a litter of kits. Sadly they were born during the winter, and a horrible case of greencough had spread through the camp. All of their kits ended up dying. Eventually they tried again and were rewarded with one very healthy molly--Birchkit. Before their kit could even open her eyes Heatherheart died protecting her kit from a fox that dug into the nursery. Before she could chase the fox out it gave her a nasty bite to the throat. It's needless to say what happened after that. Cloudwhisker still blames himself for having offered to lead a patrol that day when he should have been in camp. He focuses solely on his daughter now.
