He gave a nod before crouching down, haunches raised a bit into the air as he stuck his tail straight around. The rouges hazel eyes narrowed before he started to creep up onto the rabbit Rosesong pointed out. He got closed and his claws unsheathed. Stopping, he tracked the distance before giving a leap and pinned down the rabbit. His claws sank into its back before his fangs snapped the neck and dropped it limp.

Dusty looked up at the new cat. "U-uhm I was just, um.." She looked down on her paws nervously. "I-I was walking through the forest.. and I heard a mouse and tried to catch it- and um, caught it, and.." Dusty trailed off. She flicked her gaze signaling the cat to where she dug the shallow hole of the remains of the mouse. "I-I'm sorry if I took your catch, It wont happen again! Promise!"

Rosesong stood back up, shaking her pelt off. "Good catch! Eat on that and I'll show you the training grounds afterward. Once you figure out your mentor, you'll be there quite often." Rosesong mewed. She sat down, showing no signs of rush.

As she looked back to Romulus, she gave a look of sympathy. "You're no idiot, not one bit." she added, tilting her head at the tom.

"Cats say I am. Really take the prey. I'm used to going a while without food and I can get more tomorrow." Romulus meowed again nudging it closer with his paw to Rosesong. He insisted she take it and he wouldn't stop trying.
