Dusknose
It was a beautiful morning when the she-cat emerged from the warrior's den, the sunlight warming her pelt as she walked towards the fresh kill pile for some breakfast. Today would be a great day for swimming, she thought to herself, taking a rabbit into her mouth and taking it to a nice place in the sun to eat. She took a bite, chewing and looking around. Her clanmates would be up shortly, if they weren't already, and she hoped she wouldn't be chosen for morning patrol so she could travel to the nearby creek to roll around in the water. The thought saddened her for a moment. When she was an apprentice, her parents took her to the creek to learn to swim, and their current absence was painfully obvious. Still, swimming reminded her of the good memories she had of Lilygaze and Sharpwing, which is why she swam whenever she had the chance to.
Tawnypaw
Tawnypaw yawned, having just woken up from a dream. In it, he was back at twoleg place with his parents. His mother Dax, who had been expecting when he left, was nursing three newborn kits while his father Jasper looked on proudly. They were fat, accustomed to eating cat food and littered with treats. He had been that way once, too, before he came to the clan. Moons on his own with little hunting experience made him thin out. Even now, hunting and eating prey, he isn't near the weight he was as a kittypet. In the dream, his parents noticed him, and it was obvious they were happy to see him. "Moonie," He remembered hearing his father say, "Where did you go?" His mother looked disappointed, "You left us. You left your family." He tried to talk. He tried to say there was a storm, he got lost. He didn't mean to leave, but that he was happy now where he was. That they would be happy here, too. But no words came out.
Then he woke up. Dreams like that plagued him nightly, the guilt of leaving his parents without a goodbye weighing heavily on his mind. Can't fix it now, he thought. The sand colored tom stood up, exiting the den and stretching in the open space. He had only just joined the clan not long ago, and he still felt left out. He knew not all cats were happy about his kittypet past, and that thought had kept him from reaching out to others. He hoped that would change.
((Maybe Brambletail could be Tawnypaw's mentor? I think it'd be interesting, since she doesn't like kittypets. Up to you though! Also, Dusknose is wide open to mentor someone.))
