"well, goodluck to us," he purred quietly, watching as his clan mates disappeared, one by one into their assigned dens as night took a toll upon the sky swiftly. he knew he could make it through the vigil, he had completely this task on many occasions in the apprentice den and nursery. 'this is it. you've done it. you earned it.' owlfeather told himself, imagining politely that swiftstar would say those words to him one day too. maybe he'd become deputy one day. that would be nice. 'i'd really have to work for it. whenever you have time, go hunt. go train yourself. go train your apprentice. make an effort.'

Blazefeather sat down in front of the camp entry; wrapping his ginger tabby tail neatly around his paws. He looked at Splashleaf with a crooked smile. "Sorry, I believe it's actually getting late and we should start our vigil soon. Maybe tomorrow you could show me around?" he asked and looked over at Owlfeather. "Yeah, good luck guys!" he said cheerfully.
