Ok so here's my theory, I always thought that each element kindness ,loyalty, laughter, etc, has an Alcorn since they live normal life spans ,the current princess would die for the next generation to come in , so before there was the princess of magic there was the princess of loyalty, the box and the Castle lay dormant for the next generation to find .
