      hi.

well, i don't really know how to picture this for you guys so you understand, but i'll try.

it all began, what, two months ago? i was at my riding school, which is huge, and it includes not only the riding school but also private stables and stuff, it's too unimportant for me to explain it right now. so, i was wandering around it, when the guy who feeds the riding school's horses told me that someone had abandoned a puppy there, the previous day. of course, i took no special notice of this, because this guy sometimes likes to say jokes that make no sense, and it seemed like one of those. i continued walking aimlessly around, when i saw a beautiful dog running around, of a light brownish color, with a black muzzle and with the physical build of a guard dog, even though she seemed to have, what, 3/4 months? so this was the abandoned dog.

she was sniffing around, probably looking for food, and was dirty, and i approached her slowly and carefully so as not to scare her, but quite on the opposite she lifted her nose and went to me, so i would pet her (and so i did). i spent some ten minutes there, even after she lost interest in me, and watched the beautiful pup scurry through the grass. as she seemed really hungry, i went over to the café and asked for some ham, returned to the same place and gave it to the puppy, and she seemed ever so grateful and happy to eat it, and she devoured it really quickly. i went to fetch some more, and she followed me.

i asked around everybody i knew and didn't knew, if the dog was theirs, but nobody knew the dog. so i grabbed a rope used for horses, basically, for all you non-horse folks, and clipped it to her collar as a leash, and she sniffed it but was alright with it. soon, she started to eat grass and then started looking for food, pulling me to look around more. of course they wouldn't give me more ham at the café, so i didn't go there, but by then i found a lady i knew had dogs. (this detail isn't actually important, but she's rich, like really rich). she saw me with the dog, and asked if she was mine.

i told her that the dog had been abandoned the day before, and i was caring for her, and that she was hungry and i had no food to give her. the lady felt compassionate and so went over to her stables, to fetch dog food in a plastic bag, which i fed to the dog. she ate until she was satisfied, and then we started playing around to kill time. i phoned my mother and told her that i had found an abandoned dog, and she told me to leave the dog there, to come home and then we would see if i would return the same day to fetch her or if she would have to stay there. so, i locked her in a horse stall with plenty of food and plenty of water, and went home.

i will now tell you what happened in my absence, and what i later discovered from the lady i told you about before.

as she tells me, a guy from my stable who hates me utterly, unlocked the stall and started calling the dog. she, as she was really playful and friendly, followed the man, and he started leading her to the exit, where a busy road was, and his goal was easily discovered: he wanted to leave the pup to die on the road. when he was nearly reaching the road with the dog, the lady was passing by on her horse and asked the man if he was going to take the dog home. the man said no. the lady understood quickly what he wanted to do and called the guy who cares for her horses, so he would come and pick up the dog. he came, and took the dog to their stable.

when i came back, i discovered the dog's disappearance, then found out where she was and everything that had happened to her. suddenly the stupid, stupid man who cares for the lady's horses, let's name him Vi, told me that the lady was going to keep the dog. i was so disappointed and sad, i cried, because there was still a chance i could take the dog home. Vi let me walk the dog i loved so much, and told me to return her to the stable in two hours. i was heartbroken. i walked her and returned her in two hours, as promised.

later i discovered my mom didn't let me keep the dog, so i told Vi and the lady, let's call her Ca. they were alright with that. i walked the dog nearly every day for the following week, but there were some days Vi didn't let me walk the dog, without telling me his reasons. just of pure greediness. after all, the dog's more mine than theirs, she only lives with their horses.. but i coped with it.

several days later, i went there to discover the dog was chained up and whimpering. she had a bruise on her head. i asked Vi very angrily what was that all about, and he said that the pup had broken a flower vase while running around. (seriously, she's still a pup alright?? and it was by accident! i hate Vi so much i knew then that he had beaten her). AND he didn't let me walk her.

some days later, i went to Ca's stables and found out that Vi was keeping my dog in an empty, damp stall with several other dogs. i put my hand through the bars to pet my dog, who jumped up for me and was really happy, showing signs of neglect, but the other dogs, adult dogs, threw themselves at mine, biting and nearly ripping my dog's collar off. i was heartbroken, and was about to complain to Vi when he told me to leave my dog alone.

she is now being kept like i described, in the dark and damp stall, with several other aggressive (probably also neglected) dogs!

i need urgent help so as what to do, because i don't know but i consider this abuse and my puppy doesn't deserve this!! she has never been taken to the vet EVER. i am also afraid the stress and neglect will kill her, or if it doesn't kill her it'll psychologically affect her and drive her crazy. i am in tears every day to know what my beloved dog is suffering, and knowing i can do nothing to stop it, or so i think, and knowing that she deserves a warm, cozy, loving home, but i can't give it to her at least i thought she was alright with them..

PLEASE HELP ME AND MY DOG

Oh god, this is terrible. Who could do such a thing to a dog!
First off, if you haven't already told your mother, I would do that.

Have you thought of telling anyone else in real life? Animal Cruelty is illegal in many places, depending on what is going on, and they could get in serious trouble for doing that.

If this is really serious, I would definitely talk to someone you trust about this, and bring it up.

thank you for the help, i am really suffering as my dog suffers..

i told my mother, but she doesn't really take interest in my life/troubles nor does she interfere with anything/anybody, no matter what the situation, so that's no use.

and actually i don't want to get 'Ca', the lady, in trouble, because i know her and her husband and their little daughter and they're all so kind, to people at least, and i don't want to cause trouble because they'd hate me.. i have thought of telling them that i can actually keep her, then i'd take away the dog and give her to a trusted friend? at least then she'd have a proper home, but i don't know if they'd let me take the dog away.. i am so lost

Hmm... I can understand not wanting to get her in trouble. Do you have friends that you can tell about this? Or maybe their parents that would listen? While I've never met this puppy, I hate hearing that it may be suffering.

Take pictures/film a clip of her treatment/living circumstances. Then go to Ca. If the dog dies and the police finds out Ca will be in much more trouble than if you tell her now.

      thank you.

but even though this whole thing is really horrible, i am not going to do something as drastic as calling the police.
i will probably try and the next time i see them, which means, on the 2nd january, ask to take the dog and will try to find a home for her, with someone i can trust and often visit. all this is getting me heartbroken, and i can't stand watching her from a distance, being treated like this when what she deserved is to have a decent home and a caring family..

You could try the human society, local shelters, or the police
