"humans are terrible" she paused, thinking of her family and past. "I mean, are there other stray dogs here?" she tilted her head to the side, wondering. Ink dug her wolf-like claws into the sand. She did see dogs on the board walk, but where they pets? Or strays? She wasn't sure just yet. Ink thought this dog talking to her might be, he looked skinny and that his fur hadnt been brushed in a long time

A harmonious chuckled flowed from Nic's maw as he nodded at Ink's harsh words. "Yes, well. Thousands of years have given them thumbs, two-legs, and even the planet, yet the one thing they have yet to master is kindness." he replied softly, a grin still playing upon his lips. He glanced behind him at the dogs on and beneath the boardwalk and bobbed his head slightly. "Yup, there's plenty of dogs like us around. 'Round here, if it ain't a stray or a fighter, it ain't a dog." he barked, a bitter look in his eyes as he thought of the prissy dogs the humans kept.

Sloan watched the human stumble away, finally having some sense about the two aggressive dogs. With an excited bark, the wolf-dog started to whirl around, but suddenly collapsed with a grunt, his eyes closing. "Huh." The Bukovia stood up, watching the Akita drag the passed-out dog gently under a tree. He trotted up to her, his tail waving slightly. "Hello," he said, giving her a small smile. "Uh," he faltered slightly, not really knowing what to say. "Well, um, do you need help with him or something?" Inwardly Sloan cursed himself. I've never been good with conversation! He scolded himself. Only because I haven't talked in so long...

Sasha looked confused in response to the puppy's explanation. Sasha had been raised around humans only until she was old enough to be weaned from her mother and dumped in front of the local animal control, but that had been time enough for her to learn 'Human English', and since then she had been listening to humans' conversations regularly. She knew the human's words for almost everything, and she wasn't great at guessing what other dogs were talking about. Giving up after a few seconds of hard thought, she shrugged to herself lightly and smiled at the pup. "Well, I'm glad you're alright. Where's your mommy?" The question sounded almost hopeful. She could only hope that Hylvetica wasn't suffering the same fate that she herself had as a puppy.

Hyl's face darkened as she plopped down into the sand. She rolled her tawny shoulders in a small shrug. "I dunno..." she replied sadly, staring at her paws, "I don't even remember what she looked like." A sigh fluttered through her nostrils as she glanced around around the beach, inwardly relieved that most of the humans were either gone or leaving.

Jude pricked her ears up and looked back at Tia, Blake, and Baron. She yawned slightly and then looked as if she was in thought, "I don't think I have much to say, I mean, I was born in Japan.. and then I was bought for I guess... show? I'm not sure, but they brought me here and I won some metal things for them.. " Jude explained while her eyes looked lost in thought.

Standing up straight, the young matiff looked in the dogs eyes, walking past him as she ditching the body of the wolf hybrid. Although he had just practivally saved her, she knew he would be fine by himself, "What's up." Her ears flicked backwards, picking up his voice, "The name's Cookie."

Her paws continued to fall heavily on the asfault as she abandoned to hybrid. She looked back at him, her eyes closing as she said some last words "Thanks, but no thanks. I don't need anyone showing me up to protect me. I don't respect that trait. You're young, you'll get somewhere besides the ring." She picked herself back up and continued walking softly through the small town.

Jude, not waiting for them to say anything, got up from where she lay next to Tia. Curiosity had sparked in her somewhat young mind as she padded to the entrance to the cave, her stomach growled and her mouth felt dry. "I'm going to see if I can find us something to eat." she said, looking back at the others. Jude then turned and carefully went down the rocky side, slowly but surely making her way down. When Jude had made it, she barked up to the others, as if telling them she was okay, wagging her tail in satisfaction, she padded along the beach.

As those large paws touched down on the sand, Cookie let out a sigh of relief. She was back where she loved to be. Her big brown eyes scanned the surface. Today she had done so many things. "Finally, I'm free from the chains that hang from my tail to other canines. Now I can finally fall asleep to the sounds of the waves."

Her eyes flickered with joy as she turned and trotted towards a dumpster, curling up against it with her back leaning on it. The metal was cold, but soon enough it warmed up to her body tempature. There was no better way to fall asleep then happily knowing you'll wake up in the same place you are and nothing will ever change; nothing will ever hurt you again. A smile crossed the large female's maw as her eyes slipped and she fell into a deep calming feeling, although she wasn't exactly asleep.
