The male smiles before slowly making his way towards the rabbit. He halts as the rabbits pricks it's ears. He slows his breathe. 'I can't mess up now.' He thinks before unsheathing his claws. He weaves the grass before slowly stopping a couple tail lengths away from it. He grins before darting towards the creature, only for him to trip and land on it. With the rabbit panicked, it began to run with him right on it tail. 'You can't run from me!' He thinks before launching himself forward, catching the rabbit's neck in his jaws. The rabbit went limp. "I did it!" He exclaims with his voice slightly muffled.

The warrior sighs as he places his tail onto Whitepaw's shoulder. He had noticed her saddened behavior and he also knows about her crush. "How about I take you to go battle training to get you mind off things?" He asks softly with a sympathetic smile.

The female looked up at her mentor. "Yes that would be nice." She murmurs before letting out a soft sigh.

She sighs to herself as she stretches her limbs. She turns her head to look up at the sky, calmly smiling to herself.

Applesong's eyes glistened with pride as she watched her apprentice catch a rabbit on his first try. "That was good Tigerpaw!" She told him as she padded towards the young tom. "If it wasn't for that stumble it would have been perfect! You can go of and hunt on your own now, just don't go out of the golden plains. I may or may not be watching you so do your best." She said to Tigerpaw. It would be good to see how he hunts without his mentor beside him.

Willowpelt swiftly went through the barley, her pelt brushing against the tall grass to disguise. Her paws stopped as she crunched up her body, her tail staying low as she waited. She allowed her senses to be less attentive as she stayed still.

5..6..7..8..9..10! Sunpaw opened her eyes as she finished counting. She followed her mentor's scent into the barely. The young apprentice tried to be stealthy as she did so, acting like Willowpelt really was a bird. After a while she found her 'prey' and pounced, with her claws still sheathed of course.

Willowpelt gave a squeak when she felt Sunpaw land on her. She fell down on her belly, her pelt prickling. "Whoa!", she meowed. "I barely knew you were there!", she meowed, very impressed.

Sunpaw grinned in triumph for being able to sneak up on her mentor. "So do you think I would be able to catch a bird?" She asked, excited to catch a new kind of prey.

"Lets go back to the patrol and go on. Go ahead, stay near the dead tree. If you are danger, don't be embarrass to give a yowl." She meowed, lightly shaking Sunpaw off. She then ran off towards her patrol. "Hello?", she meowed, halting as dust got kicked up.

Losteye sat in the elder's den, his pelt ruffled from not washing it for so long. A tick was nestling on his neck, his claws digging deep within the untended nest. "Dumb apprentices, never doing their duties..", he hissed, standing up to go out for a walk. He padded slowly out of camp, Losteye's eye searching for any sign of danger.

Sunpaw stayed near the dead tree. She was set on finding a bird. Sniffing the air, she tried to pinpoint a scent. At first she didn't find one but eventually she caught a scent.Remembering her training, she tried to be as stealthy as she could as she followed the scent. Sunpaw especially paid close attention to her paws. A bug wouldn't ruin her hunt this time! Soon the bird came into view, busy pecking at something on the ground. Sunpaw smirked, this was perfect. Once she felt like she was close, she pounced on the bird. It flapped around and let out some alarming squawked before the young apprentice was able to deliver the killing bite. She was covered in feathers, and her chest stung from a scratch the bird must of inflicted on her in its panic, but she had caught her first bird. That was enough for her.
