Arthur woke up with the early daylight seeping in through the window. He got up out of his basket and onto the fluffy carpet, shaking his long grey fur. The kittypet left the room through the wide open door and bounced down the stairs, skidding to a halt in front of the kitchen door. His housefolk had left for work but his food bowl had been refreshed. Arthur licked up some of the food before jumping out through the kitchen window and landing on the soft green grass. He jumped up onto the fence and just stared out at the unknown.

Tiger woke up on the soft cushion of the sofa. The large ginger tabby got up and stretched before jumping down onto the wooden floor below. He walked into the kitchen and looked through into the conservatory, where his housefolk's kit was sat in front of a rectangle. Tiger ate some of the food in his bowl from the previous night before stepping into the conservatory and through the kitty door, seeing Arthur sat on his fence. "Hey buddy." He greeted his best friend with a smile as he edged closer along the fence to the tom.

The medicine cat glanced over at her apprentice as the she-cat greeted her. "Good morning, Lilypaw," she greeted in return. "I don't think we'll do much different today; just checking on the queens and collecting some herbs. Perhaps we may be able to do a little refresher in your defense moves, if you feel up for that." She gave a small smile to her apprentice. While Oakflower wasn't an extremely social cat, she did enjoy the company of her apprentice- though she would never admit things out loud. In the back of her head, she reminded herself Lilypaw would need to get her name sooner or later.

The tom looked around the camp, his tail curled over his paws. His ear twitched and he dipped his head to any cats walking past. Had Reedtail organized the border and hunting patrols yet? He would like to go on one, for he hasn't left camp recently. Ashstar chuckled at the thought. When he was an apprentice he used to run around and sneak out, like Swiftpaw. But not anymore. He's mature now.

The kittypet awoke and stretched, parting her jaws in a yawn. She kneaded the soft bed before pulling herself out, a purr rising in her throat. Today was going to be a good day. She pushed through the kitty door and jumped onto the fence, watching the swampy forest a ways ahead. She longed to go there. She felt like it was calling her.
