I personally name all my dragons, though if they are CB I sometimes leave them unnamed if I don't have something specific I want to make them. I have a labeling system to stay organized, so that when I breed two dragons I don't have to check their lines every time to see which is purebred, which is cave born, which has a messy line, etc:For CB dragons: "name" (or I leave unnamed.)
For PB dragons: "name -pb"
(pb stands for "purebred")
For dragons with a continuable line: "name -wali" or "name -w"
(wali stands for "watch line")
For dragons with a messy line: "name -nb"
(nb stands for "not breedable"
For dragons with a neat line that I probably won't continue: "name -coli"
(coli stands for "cool line")

That seems like a neat way to do it!
I personally use the initials of my username and then add the name desired like
