holyyy that is one gorgeous little man. any name suggests for him? (':

aye must be nice when you can use the excuse your hand slipped when you come home with a new betta. six betta's later and my mom and boyfriend stopped believing that way to long ago haha.

I spent $200 on my betta tank... lol
5.5 gallons, 6 live plants, 2 ornaments, sand as gravel, a betta fish named King Arthur, 3 oto fish, and 2 shrimp...
Though I think my shrimp have disappeared. I don't think King Arthur had anything to do with it though, he wasn't very interested in them in the first place. And I've thought they'd disappeared like two weeks ago but then I spotted one and now they've disappeared again. So not sure if they're just hiding whenever I look in the tank or if they've gone somewhere.

If they're dead I blame my boyfriend, he keeps leaving the window open in winter and my poor heater can't keep up.

i've spent about $200 on my tanks too in the last few weeks and i haven't even started on any plants yet oops

i'd love to see a picture of your set up! if your heater can't keep up then i would deff start looking into a new one, my old one started having more and more problems as time went on to the point where it pretty much just died on me. as a side note where do you have the heater placed? all of mine work a lot better if they're placed by the heater or new flowing water so it disperses the heat more evenly in the tank, instead of heating one side/area of it.

So beautiful! I'm thinking about getting an orange one to go back to school with, if they have it at the pet store at least. I really like blue bettas and black bettas. But all of the colors are just so gorgeous.

There is my new betta fish! I have all of his tank supplies, but it is too late to set it all up now, so we are putting him in a temporary home. I will update tomorrow, with his 10gal tank all decorated!!

My tank has a built-in waterfall so the water is always being circulated, it's on the right side of the tank.
It's "specifically for 5 gallon tanks". Usually, I try to get one that's say, 10-20 gallons, that way it's more effective. But I couldn't find anything like that for a five gallon.







On a side note, i've started having snail problems. They're not like any snails I've seen before, and I'd like help identifying them? Don't mind my drawings... I did my best



Also, I spotted a shrimp today! So that means that they're still alive, hooray! I'm pretty sure it'd been like two and a half weeks since the last time I saw one of them, I thought for sure they were dead. But nope! Just always hiding, I guess.
