She finished up reading and taking notes. She hadn't enough time to do the writing, but reading and annotating would give her all she needs to do it at home. She tapped her pen on her jaw at the announcement of their assignment. Six pages was an easy task if she was passionate about the topic, but it made a big difference if she was writing in her native language or English. "Miss Leonard, will this essay be in English or about English writers?" She could understand English just fine, but speaking and writing in it was rather difficult. She already made the decision she'll write in Japanese anyways. If English was required, she'd use an Internet translator and change anything that didn't look right.

He sighed, most of his class seemed to be dreading this activity. This class is one of the few science courses the school has. Most of them didn't seem to even want to be here. It seemed there were no aspiring surgeons amongst the class. This would be quite the exciting year. "You'll want to slice a clean line down the stomach. The skin is soft and breaks easy, apply light pressure and keep it straight, like so." he made his own cut into the frog, and did so with expert precision. He's had many years of practice doing this. Eight years of medical school, and a lifetime eating humans. If he wanted, he could very easily be a surgeon, but he doubted his ability to rip people up and keep them alive for a living. It was inevitable he'd snap one day and purposely let a patient die so he could snack on them later. He thought it better to teach others what he knows so humans can pass down his skill and knowledge and save lives. But highschool was a poor place to start. In a decade, a university might accept him, but he needed to get more experience as a teacher before he could be a professor.

Upon finishing reading the assigned chapters, Kei's vision lifted from the inked pages as he rubbed his eyes before sluggishly observing the classroom, attention falling on Kimura-san as she directed a question at Miss. Leonard. Deciding his teachers answer would have some value, the ghoul descretly waited for her answer as he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth at the two girls chatting loudly beside him about some fashion magazine from what he bothered to listen to.

As she made the first incision upon instructed near the bottom of the frogs stomach, Erika tucked her head towards her chest in concentration as she grabbed the snips resting on the table and cutting up to it's jaw, her gloved fingers lightly prodding the exposed abdominal wall as she peeled back the skin, it indeed behind very soft. Erika soon found out that the blood vessels were somewhat slick against the rubber as she pinned down the flaps.

The red substance made her nose crunch as the scent of iron wafted around her as various students made the first cuts, deciding that she certainly didn't like blood. Erika laughed under her breath as the image of a fairly pretty woman came to mind with long, brown hair and thin framed glasses. She was a human science major who had studied at Seinan Gakuin on a scholorship and Erika knew her sister would've given her an earful if she chickened out, you know, if she was still breathing.
