illnesses → his are all mental. separation anxiety, severe depression, borderline personality disorder, insomnia and social anxiety. he suffers with auditory hallucinations due to the bpd and is unable to take medication for any of it due to not existing on any public record.
personality → looking past his mental health, you will find that caine is not a male interested in fighting. he is much more of a pacifist at heart, though this is born out of the fear he has of confrontation. despite this, if pushed hard enough he will retaliate with all the force that a male werewolf can give, and will be much more inclined to do so for friends, family and a partner if he has one. caine is, more importantly, an affectionate wolf. he would rather lay and share intimate silence with both platonic and romantic interests than anything else, but is happy to spend time with those he holds close. to strangers and people he barely knows, he is often seen as a ghost, heard but rarely seen and unwilling to make his existence obvious.
history → being a werewolf was as normal as having two eyes to caine. he was born into a family of wolves, his sister being one of the very few females in his 'pack' with the ability to shift. she was also, oddly, fertile, leading to some questioning and confrontation from other alpha's later in his life. this never bothered caine and he opted to stay out of the drama surrounding it. life was normal for caine up until the age of 12, when he was stripped away from his family by a small group of hunters. they were young and inexperienced, and capturing a 'wolf pup' was simply a part of their initiation. they had no idea that he was going to be used as an experimental tool, testing new and old weapons to see which were the most effective on a lycan. eventually, a hunter who had more heart than the others released caine when he was 15. the teenager fled into the woods, completing his first shift moments after his feet touched the snow that altered the landscape around him. he remained in this form up until he was 16, when he shifted again for the first time. humans found him lying on his front in the woodland and removed him, thrusting him into the foster care system where he was soon plucked back out of it by a loving, stable human family. they cared for him and loved him for two years until he disappeared without a trace, returning to the wild to be his true self.

malakai was a petal among thorns the moment she stepped out from the safety of her mothers den. originally this young she-wolf was quiet and timid, but with age and experience, she grew to be the feisty, hot tempered girl she is now. during the take over of her birth pack, she encountered the new alpha multiple times, and as a result has been left with half of her right ear missing. this does not bother her at all, but watching her brother involve himself in her battles did. so, with her brother in tow, she relinquished her position of her birth pack and began her adventure to find a new one. malakai is shorter than her brother, but she is slender and sleek compared to his stocky frame. she is better equipped to hunt and run for long distances, given that she has quite the stamina. she is often snappy and unforgiving to anyone who steps in her personal space, no matter who it is, but will allow the more maternal nature she holds to take over should there be pups around. unfortunately, she recently became separated from her brother due to an incident within a hunt. she will likely never see him again.

jedidiah arrived in the mountains of italy when his birth pack was no longer a viable place to live - a new alpha had stepped in, and jed simply didn't see eye to eye with him. the two would fight, and so, jed and his sister, malakai, parted ways with their beginnings and opened up a new chapter within their lives. jed is, through and through, what a big brother should be. protective and loyal, he stands by the side of his sister whenever she requires him to do so. he rarely speaks, finding it only necessary to do so with his sibling and alpha. his personality leaves much to be desired - he is indifferent, possessive and harsh when it comes to rectifying the mistakes of others, even though he very rarely admits to his own. he is tall, but he is not lean, built more for fighting and taking down large game than anything else.
