My tradition is to forget about Christmas till the last day and randomly give white elephant gifts to everyone
Or stay up all night drawing for my friends and then sleep through christmas

Well, my sister Vixenbloom and I usually make some kind of dessert for dinner. I've done it for three years but this will be her first since she turned 8 cx

first of all i have a lovley australian summer XD

lets start on christmas eve shall we? At chrsitmas eve me my sister and all of my cousins (To give you an idea one family has 5 , one has 3 and the other has 2 children) We all sleep at my nans house and on christmas eve we all sit on the side of the road waiting for someone dressed as santa to come round on a firetruck and throw candy at us (Its epic) Then we go inside and eat our candy and have some dinner. Then the adults watch a christmas movie whilst us kids (From the age of i thnik 19-1 ) use a santa tracking internet thing , which is adorble when the younger kids get all exited whe he leaves XD they start jumping around! Then we sleep at around 8-9. IN the morning we wake up all the adults and go into the sunroom and gather round the presents. I usually bring out my blanket because the tiles are cold! ANd the dog sits next to me :3 hes so fluffy XD we wait for most of our family to get to my nans and then we start unwrapping our presents. We usually wait till lunch to eat and it is so yummy!!!! this year sadly some of my cousins are in queensland for christmas but we are going to facetime them all. :3

i love my christmas because i have it with all of my family ^-^ We are really close i mean for school holidays all the kids sleep at my nans we were pretty close. We see them everyday XD hope everyone has a lovley holidays

My brother and sister wake us all up at six in the morning, we take stuff out of our stockings hanging by our beds and then we open our presents in the sitting room and, afterwards, have breakfast. Sometimes we go down the street to see the game they traditionally play there, there's two teams, a ball, some streets and no rules but one team hits a sign with the ball and the other gets it into the water by the piers. We don't watch often, sadly! :(
We also open presents on Christmas eve, like pjs and stuff like that. And we watch a film.

It's different now that my dad passed on but these are the traditions that mean a lot too me. We would open one present Christmas Eve which was usually a new set of pjs before going to bed. Then we would wake up around 7am or so and see what we're in the stockings as well as the bigger gifts. We would make smokies, cinnamon rolls and sausage. Then after that we would get all those breakfast items on a plate and head to the living room/den. We would all pick out spots and then my dad and sometimes my brother would hand out gifts one by one. Once that was done we would first open our stockings one by one and then do so with the gifts going in a circle until the gifts were gone. We still do a couple of those traditions but it isn't the same.

My brother and I, let's call him J have a routine. We wake up fairly early in the morning, talk and play games until our parents drift awake. Then, it's down to the tree, where we open our presents. After all our presents are opened and videotaped, we move on to see what has been left in our decorative stockings. J has a Santa stocking and I have a cute little snowman! After our stockings have their items removed, it' time for breakfast. It's my absolute favorite! Mom's famous hand-made french toast. Yum! Next, J's absolute favorite part, playing with the gifts! The rest of the day is spent watching Christmas movies, listening to popular carols on the radio and playing/reading with this or that. (If it snows we usually go do a little sledding. I live on the East Coast and it can get very chilly over here ^.^)

A Tradition we have Is Me and my family pen ONE gift on Christmas EVE and on Christmas day we open the rest, i love this tradition <3

It's weird reading the messages here OwO american Christmas and finnish Christmas are so different!

Firstly, we open up presents, eat a lot and do other Christmassy things on Christmas Eve, not on Christmas Day. Here is how I spend Christmas this year:

On Christmas Eve, my dad wakes me up at like 9 (yuck), and I have to clean up my "trash" -.-' then, my sister helps dad prepare the ham (main course). Meanwhile, my mom and I wath Snowman. After that, we put up the Christmas tree, which is white, not a real one. Then we do some more cleaning, and put all the presents under the tree. Then I have to guard them so my cat wont eat the ribbons. Then I just have to wait, maybe help my parents to do something, until my other sisters and their husbands come over. My eldest sister has two sons too, so it's really noisy. Then we eat the ham, smoked salmon, carrot casserole, rutabaga casserole, liver casserole, and... Don't know what it's called, potato casserole? Whatever, there is a lot of food, but I only eat a few kinds, since I'm VERY picky. Then we have a break, trying to survive after filling ourselves with so much food. We might eat 'some' candy though. Then, AT LAST, I and probably my 4-year old nephew deal out the presents, until there isn't a single one under the tree, expect for my bestie's presents, she comes over the next day. Finally, there's a big, noisy mess of people and the kitty ripping the wrapping papers off their presents, shouts of 'thank you' and 'you're so sweet' ^^ then we all eat anything there is left, candies, ham, casseroles, salmon, coctail pasties, chocolate... Literally anything. We talk a lot, too. I'll probably just hug everyone, take photos, cuddle on the couch with anything that is soft, play around with my presents, stay up late... Then sleeping at least 12 hours. On 25th, my best friend comes over, and we open our presents, and watch the Christmas Carol (it's our tradition) then we whine her dad if she could stay for the night O3O if she can't, I'll be heart broken and my Christmas is ruined.

I'm surprised if anyone reads all of this. :3

My mom's side of the family is pretty big. My grandmother has 10 other siblings of whom most have kids (maybe they all do? not sure xD) so the family gets together at one of the brother or sister's houses that's large enough to fit us all and we do a play made up of the kids ranging from babies to teenagers. The play is called "the first Christmas" and it's about the birth of Jesus and the story of Mary and Joseph going to Bethlehem. The newest baby in the family is usually baby Jesus xD a few years ago my brother was Jesus and as a kid i was usually an angel with one of my second cousins because my mom is technically the cousin (and the oldest) of my second cousins but because we're all around the same age we just consider myself one of them We also get dressed up and it was created my great-grandmother who is still alive and going strong xD Every year it gets even more professional and last year there was a brochure made up of everyone in the play with a short bio and picture of them, it was legit.

After the play we all eat a bunch of food and the kids all run around and get sweaty because we're all wearing long dress clothes with our hair all nice (it's a mess) and just play and hang out and talk until "Santa" comes with a big bag of stuff for every kid and child and teenager and we all sit around as Santa calls our names and we open our (sometimes) embarrassing present in front of the family. Then we all hang out until its around 11pm and people start to head home.

It's a good thing this makes me extremely tired or else i wouldn't be able to fall asleep because of how excited i am.

But that's not all oh no. Before i go to bed and since my brother was born now before WE go to bed my mom reads us a night before Christmas book she's read every Christmas eve since i was little and then we go to bed.

On Christmas morning i usually wake up at a decent time (also before everyone else) and i go downstairs and take a sneak peak through my stocking and the sizes of all the presents. then once I've seen enough and snooped enough to make me giddy to open everything, i go into my parents room and get on their bed and wake them up and make them get up so we can open stuff. Later that night we go to my grandmother's house and have Christmas dinner and my brother and i open our second round of presents that are at her house.
