Tell us about your Holiday traditions!

If me and my sister go to my grandma's house before Christmas she lets us open up one present before Christmas.

On Christmas eve we always make shortbread and open up one present which is usually pj's and a small gift. then on christmas morning my parents room is downstairs so my brother and i always have to call them on the phone to wake them up since we cant go down.

On Christmas Eve, my parents come to our house and we celebrate with them. Jessii usually has to work on Christmas Eve, so she works the day shift, and by the time she gets out, my parents are usually on their way. I get to fix dinner mostly by myself, but I finish up when everyone is here. We eat dinner, and then we open presents, one at a time, starting with our stockings. After we open our stockings, I start making dessert (cinnamon rolls and coffee) and while the rolls are baking, we open the rest of our presents. Then, we eat, and after a little while, my parents head home.

On Christmas Day, we go to Jessii's grandparents' house. This year, we actually get to go early for a change, because most of the time, Jessii has to work the morning shift, so we usually end up missing opening presents with everyone else. We bring gifts for our "Secret Santa" and her grandparents, and open up gifts all at once. Then, we eat lunch, usually lasagna, and dessert. When we're done, we pack up the car and head home.

As for our personal Christmas, Jessii and I don't do too much. We get a few presents for each other, and some for our dogs, cats, and ferrets (they're our furkids, so we like to spoil them as if they were human). Sometimes we open them at midnight on Christmas Eve, sometimes we wait until Christmas Day. It depends on how tired we are from all the excitement on Christmas Eve.

There was a time when my family couldn't really afford many presents, but they usually had snuck a stuffed animal gift in my bed sometime during the night. Well this year they didn't have a stuffed animal to give me, so they went into the pantry to search for something to stick in my bed. They ended up putting a container of oatmeal in it??? And now they just do that every year. I wake up to a container of oatmeal lmao

Unlike probably many of you here in germany we don't get our presents in the morning of the 25th but on the evening of the 24th
we usually go to church to see the christmas stage play they do there each year we are not religious so this is the only time we go there
in the time my younger siblings put on there jackets and shoes my mum goes upstairs and puts the presents under the tree so when we come back home we will find our presents there nwn
some years ago we used to celebrate with our other family members as well but they live too far away now but on the 26th my grandma and grandpa will come and we have dinner then also I and my sister are going to stay in the city where my grandma and grandpa lives for two weeks since we don't have school then uwu I'm going to stay at my uncle's house though and we celebrate together with my dad nwn

but I really hate the weather this year it is much too warm we don't have snow at all ;w;

I wake up and silently rock back and forth on my bed in my jammies, as I can't open presents till my parents wake up, and I can't wake my parents till 8:00 ;-;

Anyway, we wake up and open all the presents that are from each other, but first we do stockings. After we have opened all our presents, we have to get ready for the big party, my family is really big, so we have 60 ish people in our house. We set up tables and chairs and make food.

When everyone is here we all talk before eating and then our tradition of doing white elephant. Even after everyone has left, the day isn't over. Most of us head to my grandpa's house after and open some presents there, and I play with my cousins ^^

(Oh, and on Christmas eve I will silently go crazy as the day goes really slow and then I will attempt to go to sleep at 6:00 at night lol)

on Christmas Eve at 5:30 we eat at my grandmas and afterwards we open all our presents from our family you gist to oldest then we go to my house and open presents there

on Christmas Day we wake up get my parents up and open our stockings then our presents then our grandma picks us up we go to her house and open the presents there then we go to my dads and open presents there!

So, first thing I wake up run out into the living room and stare at the presents thinking what is each one.Then I wait like a nice ( angel child) XD for my parents to sleep in and to get up. So they get up we start opening presents then after that our tradition is to eat waffle house as lunch and Chinese as dinner. Also while opening the presents we watch the disney Christmas parade and the macys new york parade.
