The week-or-so before Christmas me, my mom and my brother check in at a hotel and stay the night. But before we settle in for the night, we drive around and look at the lights and decorations!

On Christmas Eve, my grandpa and uncle come over for dinner and get smothered by our dog and stay until me and my brother go to bed, but before we head to our room, my uncle reads The Night Before Christmas to us. ^u^

And on Christmas morning, me and my brother are stuck in our room until everyone else wakes up and comes over to our house. Then, we break down the gate in the hallway, and run into the living room to dive into our gift piles! Once everyone opens their gifts, we get bagels, english muffins and hot chocolate for breakfast and watch The Christmas Story. Then me and my brother spend the rest of the day playing with our new stuff!

We (aka me) wakes up at about 6 in the morning to open presents. Then we either go to my uncle's/grandma's house to have a Christmas lunch/dinner and open presents.

On Christmas eve, me and my mom both make pasta salad, potato salad, cucumber salad, deviled eggs, ham, and a lime and strawberry jello pie for dinner, then on Christmas, my dad makes coffee around five or six o clock, then we go down and open our presents. (This year, since my mom is obsessed with minions, I got her a little minion piggy bank. Shhhh.....)

In my family, we bake a lot of different goodies, mostly recipes found online and also passed down from our Danish roots on my mom's side.We also decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. Also I usually watch the Hallmark Channel for the sappy Christmas romance movies lol Another thing we do that most don't is we have a cow on top of our tree instead of a star or angel. Then Christmas Eve we play card games and board games until late at night and have a nice dinner along with opening presents since most of my family works Christmas day, and we usually go around and one person opens one present until there are no more or draw names from a hat. This year though I'll probably be having to leave some presents at home because I can only take so much with me on a train that I get to spend 4 hours on. My family usually wakes up and goes to my grandparents house to eat breakfast and open stockings and presents from them before going back to our house to open up our presents. ^w^

On Christmas eve we open one present (My mom makes us open the one with pajamas), and then we put them on and watch a whole bunch of Christmas movies and eat snacks.

On Christmas I always wake up SUPER early and we have this rule that you are only allowed to open your stocking (mmm..chocolate) and later my siblings and I wake up our mom and then we open presents! We kind of take turns (not really, but we see what everyone gets) and there is lots of pictures being taken. After that is all done, we tidy up and my mom starts making dinner (at about lunch time) and none of us usually eats lunch because we want to save up for dinner. The dinner usually includes turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, yorkshire puddings, and many more delicious foods.

This year it might be a bit different as we have two new puppies (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & Dachshund) along with our older dog and cat (the cat belongs to my oldest sibling). The dogs will be put away (as usual) in their kennels/pen, so they will not get the chocolate/treats/presents/garbage. I just hope that Dottie (our dachshund) won't climb on the table (again..) and try to steal the food.

Well...that turned into a long couple of paragraphs.......I'm just going to hide in the corner now..

My mum wraps Pajamas and We get to open those on Christmas eve, then my Lil sis and I stay up all night till the stocking are filled, And we then proceed to munch on whatever is in are stockings and watch the fireplace channel until everyone else is awake... All though this year their are bells on the stockings, the stealing of the stockings is going to be hard xP

I am 1/3 Scandinavian - mostly danish - who lives in Australia, so a lot of our Christmas is tradition is not Australian, but Danish, especially Christmas eve. First the kids - including me cx - make pizza. Then we wait for my parents and their parents to eat their scrumptious dinner, which is mostly meat ball and mash, along with some ham or something - xD - and some potato salad.
Then comes out the best part ! The RICE CREAM challenge ! The aim of the 'challenge' is to find the almond in a whole saucepan of rice cream - and these flake almonds to confuse you - by only eating a bowl at a time. The competition is only among the three kids, so you have a good chance of getting that almond, however despite this I still have never won. This time I am determined - I said that last time - !

Christmas day is alot like everyone elses - open the stocking first, waiting for everyone else to get up - then we move to the tree, open the presents one at a time while drinking orange juice and eating croissants and danish pastries. After the stack under the tree is gone, we wait for dinner, going to my dad's side of the families house. Boxing day is always my favorite. Going down to the river at lunch with everybody and mucking around with all the cousins on my mum's side.
