Tell us about your Holiday traditions!

On christmas eve we gather around our tree (always a real one) light a fire in our fireplace and then open Christmas crackers and drink eggnog. After the crackers we read the night before Christmas and then build a pillow fort to sleep in.

Then on Christmas morning we wake up first and open stockings then we wake up our parents around 10 or 11 to open up the other gifts :3 the rest of the day is spent mostly relaxing. <3

My Holiday Traditions:

When my parents were still together, we would go over to the nearest relatives/friends house (sadly, we're all pretty spread out) or they would come over for a big dinner, then leave to our respective houses that night. When I was younger, my brother and sister and I woke up at the crack of dawn Christmas morning. We were never allowed downstairs until all siblings and parents were awake, and my mom and dad had gone to see what presents were under the tree and what Santa had left. We always had to open stockings first, and take turns opening presents. Now that I switch between two houses, I get two Christmases (though it does get a bit quiet with no relatives or friends, as it's just me, my siblings, and the parent we're with)

"Santa" puts a book we wanted under all of our pillows, that way when we wake up, we get to open our first present in bed! Then we get up, go to the living room, read the Bible Christmas story, clean the treasures out of our stockings,then we eat a breakfast dish that is bread chunks with egg and cheese baked over it! It's yummy with ketchup on it! Then we open presents one at a time, to make Christmas last longer, while sipping cocoa, and spend time together as a family! It's really fun!

My families set up individual days for the extended families (aunts, uncles, cousins etc) and we go over to a house to celebrate with them (alternates each year. this year was at my uncle wally's house and my uncle kevin's house). Then, since my parents are divorced, I spend christmas eve with my mom and open gifts after supper and christmas day with my dad. We pass out presents and each take turns opening one, for both my mom's christmas and my dad's christmas.

I also go to church with my mom every christmas eve, except this year, because I work both christmas eve and christmas day. (Which is fine. I hate church.)

Typically ever since i have moved closer to my dads house we have opened all our gifts at my moms christmas eve night and eat a nice dinner. The following morning (christmas day) we get up around 8 in the morning and go to my dads where we meet up with the rest of the family and open presents there around 3 pm and later eat a nice dinner also.

(kidding,i usually just sit outside and enjoy the weather. we have no snow where i live so thats a bummer.)

Being a New Englander- it's very cold over here!
Our weather is constantly changes and
i'm sure nobody would be surprised if

The first thing I do is get waken up
by amayacs, my sister, because I end
up staying up all night from the excitement,

Then when I am up, I wake up my mother
and step-dad with my two little sisters.
we open presents as soon as they are up,
I usually open up a throw blanket
or robe first to be cozy in while I open
everything else c:

I love living in an apartment
because during Christmas,
it's truly the best. it's not too big,
and my family is the perfect size for getting
together in it.
It just feels right!

Also, my aunt comes over,
she brings the coolest things
for my sisters and I c:

My tradition is me and my brother would wake up and run downstairs. We weren't aloud to go to the tree. We go to our parents bedroom
and try to wake them up. Then everybody goes to the bathroom and my mom grabs a camera.WE open the stockings first, then our presents. We check to see the cookies we left for Santa. Sometimes, he leaves a letter for us somewhere and we know we need to go try to find a present hidden in the house. After a while, a Christmas party comes to our house. This year we are having it at my grandmas house. We open presents are aunts, uncles, and others gave us. Then we all go running around and playing Christmas eve is with my moms side of the family, Christmas day is at my dads side of the family.

My family likes to watch the sound of music on Christmas Eve then on Christmas morning we open presents then go to our church for a service.
