I've seen a lot of questions and tickets with confusion around dress ups and the new site feature "Dress up challenge" so I thought it would be a good idea to create a guide to go in depth about Dress Ups and the Dress Up challenge.

General Dress Up Information
1. What is a Dress Up?
- A "Dress up" is a phrase used to describe a pet that you have placed items onto. On Chicken Smoothie you can not only collect pets but items as well. To view the items you own, simply go to "My Stuff" and click "My Items". Dress ups are a fun way to make your pet look unique and different. With the large amount of items that the CS Staff has released, there are endless possibilities for creative and fun dress ups!
2. How do I add items to my pet?
- First click on the pet you wish to dress up. Scroll down to the bottom left hand corner and you will find a few options.
Click the first option listed that says “Add items to your pet…”
You will then be brought to a screen that shows you all of your items and allows you to drag them onto your pet as you please!
3. How do I add a background to my pet?
- First, drag the background to your pet, you should see that it covers your pet initially.
Next hover over the background with your mouse and click the green arrow.
This will move the background behind your pet!
4. How can I remove all items?
- On a computer, click Ctrl-A and drag the items out of the Dress Up area.
Alternatively, use the selection box to highlight all of the items and drag them out. This can be done on any device.
5. How can I flip items?
- Select an item and click the blue arrows.
6. What is the dark square in my Dress Up?
- The dark square in the background shows the area where items would show up in the final image. If part of an item won't appear in the final image, it won't show in the Dress Up area either. Selecting the item will show you how much will be cut-off.
Everything inside the brighter square will be appear in the final image. The pet will always be inside this square and it cannot be moved.
Dimensions for this area varies between species.
7. How can I search for specific items?
- Click on the "search" tab and enter the keyword.
Dress Up Challenge Information
1. How do I find the Dress Up Challenge page?
- On the Home Page there is a link on the left hand side that will take you to the challenge.
You can also visit it by clicking this link.
There you will see the recent Challenge Themes. After Clicking on a specific theme Recent, Random and Popular entries displayed.
2. What is the Dress Up Challenge?
- The Dress Up Challenge is a site feature to help you show off all of your coolest dress ups. Every month new themes will be added for you to submit dress ups of! This site feature is an awesome way to show off some of your ideas.
3. How do I submit an entry?
- Click on the theme you would like and hit the “enter your pet” button.
You will be able to go through your pets and choose the dress you prefer. Only pets that have items on them will be visible when you you go through your pet groups to select your entry. This is put in place so you don't have to spend an hour sifting through all of your pets.
4. How do I view my Dress Up gallery?
- Once you make your selection your dressup will now be submitted to your gallery for everyone to see! There are two ways to view your gallery.
Go to My Stuff --> Dressup pets.
Alternatively, click on "Dressups" on your profile page.
5. Can I edit or change my entries?
- No. Entries are snapshots of your pets at a certain time so you can not edit your entries. If you want to change something you will have to delete your old entry and add a new one.
6. How do I delete my entries?
- Underneath the image of your dress up you should be able to view the Category, Number of items used, and Actions.
Next to actions there should be "Delete this Dress Up..." Click that to delete your dress up!
7. Can COPPA players submit entries?
- Yes. The Dress Up Challenge works in the same way as Oekaki in that COPPA'd players can submit dress ups but they will have to be approved by a moderator before they are displayed.
8. How do you vote on an entry?
- Just click the "Like" button underneath the entry!
9. Is this a contest that you can win?
- No, this is just for fun. There may be competitions that you can win in the future though.
10. The items I recently added to my pet aren't showing up when I go to submit my pet?
- This happens sometimes but submit your pet anyway, it will show up correctly regardless!
Other Common Questions
1. Why aren't my items showing up on my pet?
- Either you didn't press "Submit" after you were done adding your items or you just have to refresh the page.
2. This item isn't fitting my pet!?
- There are a few reasons why this could be the case but most likely that item isn't compatible with your pet's species. Certain items are made for only some types of line arts.
