Tikaani padded with slow, measured steps through the large clearing, the silver plaitings of his armor barely making a sound as they slid smoothly together. Their brightness exploded with each ray of sunlight, but soon the brilliant aided luster was gone as the large white tiger moved into the shade. He personally didn't care whether he got sun or shade; he left that bickering to those of the more foolish type.
He lowered himself between the roots of a large jungle tree, laying down silently; his abnormal white pupils flashing as they caught a ray of the sun that filtered through the branches. His tail flicked lazily back and forth once he was settled, his head raised majestically while his ears rested in a slightly-backwards position, his eyes rested and half-closed. One ear tilted forward at the sound of an angry hiss, and a deep sigh rumbled from the depths of his lungs. Why couldn't the female just leave well enough alone? Ah, well...this would make for something interesting today. He fully opened his eyes and slowly turned his head to observe the pair, his tail ceasing its pointless flicking. He certainly wasn't a foolish tiger; he wouldn't interfere with something that was purely a squabble over a small space of territory, not when it could cost him a scratch on his armor.
His thoughts moved briefly to his young apprentice, Tegue. Seeing this would probably be good for him; no doubt he was here now, somewhere, if only Tikaani had bothered to look for him. The tiger's eyes roved over the clearing, searching for the young creature; if he was here, Tikaani would call him over beneath the tree, to observe what happens when a young female challenges a much larger male; one who has no problem fighting females. Granted, this particular female was strong in battle and had a name for herself, but it changed nothing. Someone was leaving that sunny spot today with a broken ego and gouges in their armor.
