I make Christmas cookies for my family with my grandmother, sleep the night at my aunt's house. In the morning I open presents with my 4 and 6 year old cousins. My grandmother makes coffee cake, almond bars, and a delicious egg dish :D My Christmas is always perfect <3 I love spending Christmas with my extended family.

During the day, nothing really ever happens. For the first night people often come over, and we eat with a potluck and then light candles. We eat gilt and hang around until everyone else needs to leave. The next few nights are often nothing more than a normal day with the slight change of lighting candles. Depending on the time of year it occurs, sledding is a big hit.

Stockings first.

Then we all eat (we cook.... UGH.... the one day a year I'd rather have poptarts!!) and then clean it up (MORE UGH).

Then we gather around the tree. Used to be the oldest did the handing out. Now the youngest does. The year BEFORE I got my turn. D:

Presents, the annual "wrapping paper massacre", and then we all chill. Dinner is always free for all.

This year, I've talked mom into Star Wars.

What we do for the main chunk of the day usually varies, though this year I'm staying at my granny's from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day. Basically I'd do all the usual things I'd do at home. I wake up at around seven to half seven and go downstairs with my younger sister, where everyone else is already downstairs waiting. We open presents from out stockings, then we move onto the presents underneath the tree. We all get dressed really late (than usual at least) after we have breakfast, normally something extremely unhealthy because it's Christmas.

Then, we're free for a couple of hours while the adults get the dinner ready, though often I like to help and/or make the dessert(s) myself. My unce and his girlfriend will come for lunch, though just for lunch and some of the afternoon I believe the latest was? We eat a Christmas dinner, consisting on turkey, potatoes, parsnips, 'pigs in blankets' (sausages wrapped in bacon), Brussel sprouts (I actually like them!), broccoli, green beans and carrots, pretty much every year. For pudding it's either Christmas pudding or rhubarb crumble, with cream or ice-cream. At dinner later on, it's literally just nibbles and we don't do much, to be honest.

On Boxing Day, we go to another relative's house to see everyone else and exchange last-minute presents. This year, we're going to said uncle's and girlfriend.

This year, I was going to go to my friend's house, because I haven't seen her in 5 years, she moved out of state. But now, I can't get ahold of her, because she got banned, and her phone charger broke, so the last time I talker to her was on CS where she PMed me her phone charger was broken, and its so old that she can't find a new one, and then the day after, she got banned for having "Multiple accounts" at least that's what she told me, is that her sisters sent her gifts and she got banned, with "The remaining 2% battery life left on her phone" a direct quote from the text. But I haven't heard from her since, and I won't be seeing her for quite a while now... :( So i suppose this year I will be going to my grandmother's house.

I am like SO immature so I
Wake up at like 6 am and screech at my parents to wake up
run down the stairs like a headless chicken and wait till my mum+dad come down the stars
I rip open my presents and then, run upstairs with the main pressie(This year a laptop) and play on it till xmas dinner!

I live in Australia, so it's also Summer here too! Normally we open our presents, go to my grandparents and open presents from them. We spend most of the day just playing around with our presents and eating ham and prawns. And the day after we always go to my cousins house and have a family get-together, and we share gifts around!

Unfortunately, this year due to bush fires, we won't be able to visit my cousins as the roads aren't safe, so we'll probably spend this year just by ourselves :^)
