Since her sire was from a clan of vampires that were referred to as "lunatics", "creeps" and "insane" and so on and on, Daniela has inherited some... troubling powers, so to speak [besides the common ones such as speed and immortality]:

• Hysteria - The victim's emotions intensify until it becomes temporarily incapacitated by either hysterical laughter or compulsive crying.

• Voice of Bedlam - The victim will hear a voice in their head, driving them crazy, thus making them completely helpless for the next ten to fifteen seconds.

• Invisibility - Grants Daniela with temporary invisibility. If she attacks the power will stop working and will therefore reveal her to her target.

Personality:
For the most part Daniela likes to keep to herself and rarely engages in conversation. She's slightly paranoid, often believing that everyone's out to get her; this can be demonstrated and proven better when she's near a working TV or radio - while others hear the news anchor, for example, speaking normally about current events without naming anyone in particular, what Daniela will hear will be a lot different, since her mind can twist the words and all she'll hear is the man in the screen blaming her for something that had happened recently [even though she wasn't there at all]. Daniela can also be seen staring off into space or reacting the wrong way in any situation - that is because she hears voices of 'insight', often aiding her in making decisions [though, let's be real, she barely even trusts them], and also distracting her. She's inherited these awful traits from her sire and cannot control them. Her speech may become distortioned and make no sense, but be perfectly clear for her ears. She's hard to handle sometimes, so people must be patient with her. If she's convinced that someone doesn't have hers or someone else's best interest at heart, she will not hesitate to bring it up and challenge said person without showing any mercy.

History:
Daniela was born in Colombia in the late 1890s and lived out on the streets for a while before her soon-to-be-sire took her in as his protégé, claiming that she had "potential to become an important person in life". She was eleven when he found her, and she spent the next twelve years under the man's protection; though not without earning her keep. Her soon-to-be sire often sent her out on trips around the world, claiming that she had to broaden her horizons and learn new things about the world she lived in. Being taught the ways and manners of the "high-born" Daniela's had no problem blending in with the rest. When she reached the age of twenty-three, her mentor claimed he had a surprise for her birthday waiting in her room. Upon entering said room, Daniela didn't really have the time to think about or react to the situation that unfolded after she stepped inside her room. From that day on she's been a vampire, loathing it at the same time as she loved it, often cursing her mentor but always returning to him when she needed help. Oh, and all those manners she was taught? Yeah, well, she forgot them as soon as she lost her mortality. A decade after she was turned her sire was killed off in an accident that saw him cornered by a group of hunters that made short work of him. As recently as five months ago Daniela decided to go back to the west again, specifically the USA, and soon after her arrival she learned of the "place up in the sky" that was created specifically for non-humans.

Anything else that is important:
You could call her slightly insane, but she's actually sane in her own way. Since the world expects her to be crazy and speak nonsense she'll bend backwards to live up to that stereotype and keep her real potential hidden, which often keeps her one step ahead of those around her. Daniela has heterochromia, thanks to which her left eye is a rich amber color, while her right eye is a dark shade of emerald green.
