winterpaw nodding, leaping after her mentor and following the scents of the patrol. "hey angelpaw, if i beat you to find the patrol, i get 10 seconds off on our first hunting trip, but if you win, you get 10 seconds off our first hunting trip! what do you say?" she smirked competitively, stretching herself out and flickering her ears for more traces of the patrol.

softbreeze rushed around, running in the fields outside the clans happily. no war, no pain. the clans were at peace, finally. she froze. her body shook. a twoleg with a dog on a shiny silver vine was coming towards her over the hill. she couldn't move. it's not that she didn't want to, her body was stuck in place. they edged closer and closer. she could hear the dog grinding it's teeth, she could see it's menacing grin. they go closer and closer, before the twoleg dropeed the silver vine. the dog pounced.
softbreeze woke up with a gasp for air, panting as she looking around. what had that meant? was it a message or a dream? it didn't matter now, at least she had woken up. she slowly and cautiously crept out of the den, letting each cold paw step in the snow calm her down. she had soon forgotten about the dream, but then began to think of her brother. she hoped he was okay. softbreeze didn't know what to do. she could go find her apprentice, talk to someone or just play in the snow. she has never really experienced leaf bare snow, being busy in training last leaf bare. maybe she could help stormstar defend camp with insulation from the fallen pine trees spikes? she wasn't sure. she went over to stormstar with a smile. "good morning stormstar. what lovely weather! did you want to go on a hunting trip or help defend camp for leaf bare?" she purred, looking around the vulnerable camp and low food pile.

Stormstar turned around to see Softbreeze. He looked down at her with a smile. "Good afternoon to you too Softbreeze. I actually just got back from hunting but I wouldn't mind going to check the borders. We should probably check the one with DawnClan because there were other patrols that I sent out earlier for the other borders." he replied. "So, want to come along with me on the border patrol?" he asked her becausd she was the one who suggested it in the first place.

"sounds great! were you able to find anything on your hunt?ttyafbare came on pretty fast this time," she questioned him, making her way over to the entrance. softbreeze was excited for leaf bare this time! they would all be together, basically in a big joined hibernation. -although, she knew that food shortage and the cold were going kill out some of the cats.

Deciding it was safe, Shadow dropped into the pillow of snow beneath the tree. Taking a breath of cool air the loner scented the air. As he caught the scent of prey his stomach growled and he winced as he noticed the sudden hunger pains that he had been blocking out before. Heading towards the scent he recognized it to be a winter hare. They weren't common but were good prey that could feed many hungry cats during late leaf-bare. Shadow contemplated leaving it but a second complaint from his stomach caused his mind to choose. Crouching low to the snow, the former warrior crept forwards. It seemed as though he waited too long but when he pounced he landed square on its shoulders; hunger sharpening his skills. Quickly killing the prey, Shadow began to take bites of the soft meat, relishing the taste, not knowing when he would hunt again.

Stormstar flicked his tail, heading over to the enry of camp. He looked at Softbreeze with a friendly smile on his face. "Yeah, I think I caught a lot of prey considering that it's Leaf-Bare, but the Clan is always in need of more prey it seems like." he replied with a light laugh, heading out of camp. His long legs were deep into the snow, leaving pawprints behind him.
