Does anyone go all out with their christmas decorations? Like we put tonnes of light up but no one else in our street does. There is an entire street on the other side of town though and -everyone- goes all out it is amazing, they do it every year :3

Well, I don't put many up, though we put a cute strand of these fairy-lights on our fence. We used to put a star and a reindeer (LIGHTS) in our window looking out onto the street, but they broke :'(

my mum loves putting christmas lights up everywhere and decorations all in the house
i swear i never really see many people in tassie with their christmas lights up and then there's our house xDD
i remember when i lived in melbourne though, everyone on our streets had lights up

There's no excessive Christmas decorating in Tasmania, it's all very subtle.
The most the average person seems to do is have a Christmas tree and maybe some lights
on their house.

well today was great for someone who hates heat! (not)
it was like 40 degrees in vic, so i was out the whole day because i live in a high fire danger town and the rating today was at extreme
we got home at 4pm and 10 minutes after the power went out! so we had to hang around in the heat with no fans or aircon...
but after 2 hours the power is back! and it rained a little and it's much cooler now.

sadly there were (are!) a few bushfires across the state, i hope everyone is okay

Oh my god. This is so freaky. THIS HAPPENED TO ME TODAY AS WELL.

The power went out because of the mass use of aircons.

Yeah, it just rained a lot here.
