What's your favorite color? (I always need to ask x3) I like many colors, but my favourite would be blue or orange.
Type of RPs you like: I like rps with animals and mythical creatures.

@Sessko: I also love the stray rp idea I have a stray character named Scout I wouldn't mind rping as! And those tablet drawings are exceptionally better than your touchpad stuff. I do love the first one as well, though the sketch is good too!

Okay, I am horrible at responding to role plays quickly and drawing quickly (I'm a lazy bum..) But hopefully this club will help me improve with that.... orz

Heehee, I know what you mean. I have been a bad rper in the past, but with the art rps I always keep up with them because i find them rather fun.

Those are only wolves, though I can draw felines, pokemon, birds, horses, and I'm currently working on humans. I know the shading isn't top notch, I simply haven't submitted the things that do have decent shading. XD Also, bg for the orange and black wolf is coming.

Definitely intermediate You seem to have a great understanding of animal anatomy, and shading will soon come after that. Just keep working on it. But if you do auditions definitely work with shading. I'd love to see one of your more shaded pieces.

If any of you feel the nerve, start up a roleplay! I will try to get the feral winter one up soon... but no guarantees it will be up until about this time next week. So feel free to start developing ideas of your own!

I'd have to say my colors tend to center around the darker side, like black or silver, but I also can be a bit spicy and can shift to red or neon blue.
Type of RPs you like:
I love all rps, as long as there's a bit of fantasy. I personally like rps that center around something totally created by the person or creator of the RP. RP's based off of books or movies just don't move along well with me.
RECENT Example of art: I don't have any recent art that wasn't just sketches, but a few of these are more recent, so I hope this counts. My favorite piece I ever did is a few months back, which is the first one shown.

What group would you place yourself in? I won't say beginners, because I do have the basics of shading, lining, and inking down, but I won't say Intermediate either. I'm not that confident in my art quite yet.
Any ideas to improve this club? Perhaps a few suggestions or tutorials as to how to sketch easy and quick art, or how to improve our skills? It would be nice and it would be sure to attract some attention from artists around.
Anything you want to add?
Yes. I'm working on anime and I'd love to improve, so if you guys have any tips or suggestions, pleasure throw them at me with full force. I want to work hard at my art. It helps me write my books. ^_^

I will get to you guys later- can't post something too long right now.

I just updated the first page with new info on what I look for in each group (now, those at the beginning lucked out cause I didn't have it all lined out X3), and a little info on auditions and purges. DON'T WORRY! Auditions and purges don't happen that often. Well, individual auditions are open every two months after your old one, but group auditions like this where i give deadlines and ideas and all that jazz is totally different. We will be having one soon (may I will start it in a few days), but don't be too freaked out. It will have a far away deadline, though you will get your answers back sooner than the actual deadline ^^;

ALSO: I am working on roleplay ideas. as well as humans, so after I get those guys down I might be able to open up a long awaited post-apocalyptic rp... based on the fall-out series. I freakin love those games.
No you will not have to know anything about them to play. Yes, it is recommended that you know the basic story and read up on it. But again, this is only a maybe

I'm glad you threw the option in that we could rejoin. It would be hard if I was 'purged' from here as my attention doesn't often wander. This thread can give me a chance to improve my art and much more.

Looking at some of the others I have placed in beginners, I am going to place you there aswell... for now. Do you think you'll be able to do the audition coming up soon? I think if you do just a little more depth with your shading you could be in there no problem- or do something with a more complex background. Your traditional dog is amazing! <3 There's a few anatomy issues (back legs mainly just look odd) but other than that it shows wonderful understanding of anatomy!

I agree. Shading is the hardest part for me as I'm not quite sure when it comes to shading.
Lol thank you. I use the Oekaki boards here mainly, but I do have GIMP, where I occasionally do Photo Manips. I really hate GIMP though so I rarely use it and tend to just stick to chibi paint on the Oekaki boards.

So, I recently colored in a picture and I tried a slightly different style, trying to get a fur look and I worked a bit at my shading and high lighting. What do you think Uoneko? The lines are, regretfully, not mine. I'm going to draw a picture soon and try out my new style. I just hope it works. ^_^

this may sound odd, but... look at how other people shade! It's the best way to learn, in my opinion. I mean, just look at a CS adoptable:



you can see the shading well in this rat. They don't use a really soft brush, and look at their placement of the shading. This is key: it doesn't follow the lines. Shading isn't an outline of your lines- most people think that at first. With anatomy comes shading. Think when you are drawing: where are the dips in my subject? The stomach is usually a good place to shade: draw a fat U from leg to leg on the stomach, and then fill the bottom part in. When you see drawings just look to see how they shade. Now this doesn't mean copying their image (but of course I don't need to tell you that <3) just try to learn by looking at other people's shading. Kinda like learn from example And looking at tutorials is always a great idea too.
