The orb went static for a moment.
Ferondir turned to the others. "He's gone to look up the Piratians."
...
"Understood, Master." Ferondir nodded, forgetting that Veneficus could not see him. "Should we get out of here before they reach Toro Island? I mean, we don't want to meet whatever stopped them."

Shia listened to the conversation for a bit, then raised the barrel's lid just enough to look around. ...Who's he talking to? She suddenly noticed the orb in his hand. Oh. Duh. She gently lowered the lid so it didn't make a sound, and settled back down into the barrel. Why should you get out into the dangerous ship before you have to? In Shia's eyes, the proper response was to stay where it would be safe. Safer, anyway. The whole adventure was insanely risky.
Please be patient with me, I'm super lazy and super forgetful. If it's my turn in a roleplay, feel free to pm me, I probably forgot. Heck you know what you can pm me anytime tbh I love getting pms.

Day 7 (Morning)/Veneficus/150+/Where: His private study (Present)/With: Nobody

Yes, it would be best if you stay in this dimension, if you are the twelve warriors the prophecy spoke of. I believe Zephyrus can sense the auras of people nearby, so he should also be able to tell when the magical levels in the area have gotten dangerously high to the point of no return. Let him know to give you all a signal to leave once the power is strong enough in the atmosphere that he can sense magic spells before they're cast and see multiple directions in time. Any more questions?

Ferondir looked around at the barrels. One of them popped open and then shut. He wondered which was Zeph's it wasn't like Zeph to stay quiet and out of the center of everything. Where was he? "Understood, Master Veneficus, I'll let you know if we encounter further obstacles."
He turned to the barrels.
"We are to get the sword by any means necessary, the sooner the better. In less then two days time, this ship is supposed to meet a mysterious Kenichi. We don't want to be here when it does. Whichever one of you is Zephyrus, the master has some instructions. You are to tell us when the amount of magic is enough to allow you to see spells before they are cast. We'll hopefully be long gone before then."

"...Well things could be worse.." Cassie was still jammed in a barrel as the others continued to talk. "How do I get myself stuck in these situations?" Cassie thought to herself sitting in a very uncomfortable position inside the barrel. Cassie could hear Ferondir talking to Veneficus about obtaining the sword. She wondered if she should get out and say something or just stay inside the barrel. "Should I get out? Or should I just chill inside this barrel...this strangely large barrel... this very large barrel that kind of smells...like...fish...rotting fish...oh no." Cassie then started to smell something really bad inside the barrel and judging by the size and the smell it was probably used to carry fish before being given to the pirates. "Okay this is not good...I need to get out of this thing." She was starting to get sick from the terrible stench of fish guts.

We'll hopefully be long gone before then." She heard Ferondir say as she toppled over out of the barrel and fell out on the floor. She took a deep breath and then looked up at Ferondir. "Well...I'm not Zeph...but... I'm here."

A barrel tipped over and the red headed girl who was with Zeph fell out.
"Well...I'm not Zeph...but... I'm here."
"No, you're not Zeph." He looked down at the stranger. "Need some help?" He held out his hand. "If it were me, I would stay in that water too long. Ew no. Wouldn't. I meant wouldn't."

Day -36,493 (Evening)/Amethyst/17/Where: Piratians' Ship (Past)/With: The Group

Amethyst rocked around in her barrel and hit another barrel near her, causing both of them to fall down. Zephyrus fell out of the other barrel while she fell out of hers. She had heard Ferondir's plan.
Zeph, do you know any crazy magic spells to get the sword without the pirates knowing? In my experience, pirates have been... dangerous... to deal with.
Guzore climbed out of his barrel and walked over to Amethyst and Zeph.
What's so bad about just fighting them? We've taken down a ghost before. Pirates are just a tier below them, hohoho!!!
Amethyst cringed. She didn't want to recall what the pirates had done to her and Sapphire. They were horrible beings with no sense of morality.
I hate to break it to you, rock-face, but anyone who spends their life in a boat all day with nothing better to do than throw spears at whatever swims is a selfish, mindless, jerk.
Amethyst took a breath after her quick rant and noticed Cassie looking at her.

Sapphire poked her head up, seeing Amethyst fall out of the barrel.
"In my experience, pirates have been... dangerous... to deal with." Amethyst said.
Sapphire couldn't agree more. She nodded, a grim look on her face. Unfortunately, the rancid and frighteningly familiar scents of her past surrounding her had brought back all her fear. She closed her eyes, trying to not cry from sorrow and fear. Not gonna do it... not gonna cry... not... going to... cry...
"Pirates are just a tier below them, hohoho!!!" Guzore chirped in reply
Urg, more like five tiers above! Speaking of tears... She hid back in her barrel, unable to hide the near-tears expression on her face. She was whining slightly. The barrel she was in smelt of old, molded, maggot-filled water, which had obviously been the previous occupant. She remembered that pirates would storm any quality of water besides salt water. The water was infested with maggots, they would say? Perfect, as long as our water isn't salty. I prefer molded water, thank you, they would say.

One of those "click to grow" things, click a few, if you can. At least the eggs, that way I can get more, since there is a 4-egg limit.

Zeph waited pensively, crammed inside the barrel.
...
There's something oddly charming about the darkness inside this Barrel...
wait...
Is this a metaphor? Nah.
If anything it's just the worst possible situation we could have devised to get onto the pirate ship. Like honestly. Even Jakubs Idea of illusion magic would of been preferable over this?
My, what a conundrum this scheme has played out to be.
He shifted his position in the barrel, though he gained no more comfort from his new position.
...
Marvelous.

He lingered in the barrel awhile longer, holding his breath as the pirates loaded them onto the boat.
... Are we sailing right now... We better not be sailing right now... Ugh we're totally sailing right now.
As it would seem, Zeph's insomnia had caught the better of him- apparently a cramped, damp, and dark barrel is the perfect place for a nap.
The Time Is Nigh,
The protector will die.
As will those with the Black Eye.

Zeph's slumber was interrupted by the crashing of a large wave.
Ughhhh.... He sighed, groggily.
Whichever one of you is Zephyrus, Started a voice, with a hint of familiarity- Though something was different, something was lost. Emotion, the emotion In which Zeph's name is usually spoke, was gone. It was purely a name, as if that was all it had ever been.
Zephyrus?
The master has some instructions. You are to tell us when the amount of magic is enough to allow you to see spells before they are cast. We'll hopefully be long gone before then.
Zeph attempted to open the top of the barrel, but he seemed to of readjusted in his sleep, to a position from which he could not operate from.
He heaved a more-than-slightly annoyed sigh.
Zeph tried rattling the barrel once more, but to no avail nothing had happened.
He blew a small stream of air onto the walls of his wooden prison, charging it with just enough magical energy to create a reaction.
Céfiro Zeph whispered.
3...2...1 He counted down.
PSSSSH. A large gust of wind formed inside the barrel, creating a miniature swirling wooden hurricane.
Within moments, the amount of air that accumulated became too much for the small barrel, and it burst.
A cold wind, mixed with the tainted residue residing on the floor, splashed across the room as the gust of air dissipated.
Zeph used the outwardly expanding rush of air to momentarily keep in the air, as he prepared himself to land on the floor.
Once the wind gave out, he landed safely on the damp floor of the Pirate ships lower decks.
Zeph quickly reached up and ruffled his hair, before saluting and declaring Aye Aye, Captain Ferondir!
He wanted to make a comment on how Ferondir had addressed him as "Zephyrus" but decided it best to leave that out for now.
Instead, he initiated his Alternate Vision, and began scoping out the pirates- That was, until Amethyst noticed him.
Zeph, do you know any crazy magic spells to get the sword without the pirates knowing? In my experience, pirates have been... dangerous... to deal with.
Obviously, that's why they're called pirates, isn't it? Anyways, I've got a few in mind already. Zeph said, looking around at the auras of the pirates instead of at Amethyst.
He now looked over at Amethyst, though he didn't look directly at her eyes, instead, he observed the variations in her Aura. There was something different about it. It seemed, brittle... Unsaturated.
But who knows? Maybe we won't even need to use magic.
