Sapphire saw Amethyst dash out after the escaping pirates, and dashed off after her, along with the rest. Her heart was beating rapidly. She saw a pirate ship that the pirates were running to. Sapphire closed her eyes for a moment, still running. This could be bad... why, pirates, of all things! I can't leave Amethyst though... She opened her eyes, continuing to sprint after Amethyst. She couldn't hide now. She had to be brave. Many of firsts happened with this group. But this was the most startling. For the first time, in her life, she was brave. She whipped out her spear and her shield, saying loudly in the rushing wind, "I am with you, Amethyst."
She huddled behind the bush with the others, tense with anticipation.

Ferondir watched as a crewman lowered the plank to allow the pirates on. "I'm afraid the Goron is right, we'll have to follow them, and remember, we can't kill anyone, or time will split, and we'll be stuck here."
The ship was larger then the Wind Runner, but not by much.
He looked to the cabins that would someday be his home. "It looks so simple and small. How could my Mira Village have ever been a couple of shacks on the edge of the woods?"
Even his mentor wasn't due to be born for forty years at least.
This was very peculiar.
He looked back at the ship. "They know what that sword is, and won't give it willingly, so we're going to have to steal it."

Day -36,493 (Evening)/Guzore/20/Where: Outskirts of Westfield (Past)/With: The Group

Guzore thought for a moment. How could a group of 12 get onto the pirate ship without the pirates noticing? He looked up at the clouds, deep in thought. The sides of them were lit orange by the sunset across the ocean. To think that we've been in the past for nearly a whole day... How exciting. Guzore looked down and saw several very large barrels stacked up near the side of the pirate ship. Ten of them were about 5 feet high in height and two of them were big enough that you could even fit... A Goron inside it. Guzore had an idea. He turned and put his hand over his mouth to whisper.
Hey Ferondir. I have an idea.

Ferondir saw Guzore grin slightly. He followed the goron's gaze.
Barrels.
Ferondir rolled his eyes.

Hey Ferondir. I have an idea.

"What have you got for me?" He peeked through the bushes.
The meanest looking pirate, probably the captain, was pointing down at the barrels. He was clearly ordering his quartermaster (you could tell by the shrewd look and thin frame) to get the men loading the containers.
"Never mind, I got it." He pointed. "Jack, see those barrels? You know what to do."
He gestured to the others. "Everyone else, follow him, and be quick about it."

Jack glanced at Ferondir.
"I've got a complicated history with barrels, but I guess we don't have a choice," Jack grumbled, "everyone be quiet, and be as close to the ship as possible. If we're extremely lucky maybe they won't notice us get in."
Jack adopted a bleak expression as he realized that even if the barrels were empty, and they had just unloaded the (probably smuggled) goods, a goron weighed more than enough to tip off the pirates. He almost called the whole thing off, but A) pirates aren't known for their intelligence, and B) if everyone did manage to get in the barrels, the element of surprise would be useful in nonlethally subduing the pirates. Although going through time to get an artifact of immeasurable power would already mess up time, right? Just how dangerous was this idea?
Jack realized now was not the time to think.
"Let's go!"

Day -36,493 (Evening)/Guzore/20/Where: Pirate Ship (Past)/With: The Group

The group slowly snuck over to the barrels located near the ship and climbed in. The captain came over with some crew members and a minion that looked similar to Jakub's Rex.
The crew members began rolling the barrels to the pirate ship, complaining.
Boss, these are really heavy barrels!
Quit yer complainin, yee scallywags! Raptor, go help them carry barrels!
The minion walked over to the barrel that Guzore was in and picked it up with no resistance. He brought it onto the pirate ship and went to the lower deck to place it down. One by one, each member of the group was brought onto the ship. Andromeda had even managed to sneak herself on with her own barrel.
...
The group had been in the lower deck for awhile before the ship began sailing. Guzore lifted the lid off of his barrel and attempted to climb out, but fell over. Luckily, it seemed that no pirates had heard it. He whispered to the other barrels.
Hey Ferondir, shouldn't you tell the wizard guy... what was his name again? Venny?
Guzore thought for a moment and then continued his thought.
Ah, whatever. Tell him that we're on the pirate ship, alright?
Guzore looked at the wall of the ship and saw faded black paint display the name of the ship: The Piratians.
Tell him it's the ship of the Piratians! That sounds like a cool name!

Hey Ferondir, shouldn't you tell the wizard guy... what was his name again? Venny?

Ferondir popped the top off his own barrel and strapped his hook back on, he had had to take it off to fit.

Ah, whatever. Tell him that we're on the pirate ship, alright?

Ferondir freed himself of the barrel and landed with a small splash. Lovely, we're on the bottom deck.

Tell him it's the ship of the Piratians! That sounds like a cool name!

"Alright, I'm on it." He pulled the gem case out of his pocket, and the glow lit the disgusting cargo hold. "Ew." He touched the gem with his palm and it flared. Hey, Master Veneficus, can you hear me?

Day 7 (Morning)/Veneficus/150+/Where: His private study (Present)/With: Nobody. He is lonely

Right after Veneficus' orb stopped glowing, it glowed again soon after. It seemed very dark wherever they were, and the magic seemed to be coming from a later point in the past. The past messages must have arrived all around the same time in the present since they all existed the second he sent them back in time. He would probably recieve another message right after this one.
Hey Master Veneficus, can you hear me?
Ooh, Master, you say? How formal! Yes, I can hear you loud and clear. How goes your excursion in the past?

The master's voice seemed very loud in the small space, and Ferondir flinched. "We're all in one piece. I don't remember what I said before, but we found the sword. Some pirates have it now, and we managed to sneak aboard the ship. Guzore seems intent on telling you that it's called the Piratians. An odd name for a ship, now I think about it. It's docked near Mir-West Field. What should we do now? He waited for a second and then added, "Oh, and the old Jakub is still in the tavern, as far as I know."

Day 7 (Morning)/Veneficus/150+/Where: His private study (Present)/With: Nobody

Veneficus was pleased to know that they found the sword. He was impressed, even.
Oh boy! Excellent work locating the sword, my friends!
Veneficus paused for a moment when he heard the name "Piratians."
The Piratians, you say? Why, those pirates disappeared into a storm around Toro Island a long time ago. Let me go get one of my records to see when they did.
The orb went static for a moment as Veneficus left and returned to normal shortly after.
Well, my friends, I've got some bad news for you. It would seem that these Pirates disappeared into the storm just two days after leaving Westfield in the year 50, where you guys are right now. Nobody knows quite what happened to them, but from what I've read and seen, it would seem that there is a strange area of magical abnormalities near Toro Island where ships seem to completely disappear from our dimension. If that's the case with the Piratian ship, it would explain why Jakub's sword was no longer findable once he lost it!
Veneficus thought deeply about what to do.
If you can avoid harming the pirates by sneaking in to take the...
Veneficus stopped again to think. His tone became more serious.
No, we need that sword, no matter what the cost. Personally, I hate violence, but if you must... kill... the pirates, in order to get the sword, it should not cause enough of a change to create a seperate timeline since they disappeared from our world anyway.
