Lillian nodded and gratefully took the soup from Gaveina,"Thankyou" she murmered.Grabbing the spoon,she hungrily gulped down the food and wiped her mouth. At least they feed me,she thought, knowing that an ordinary soldior wouldn't have been as kind.

Gaveina nodded "No problem" she said tossing another log on the fire then looked back to the girl "Do you feel any better now that you have had some food and are in dry clothes?" She asked glancing at the little girl who was in the corner with a blanket Gaveina have given her

Griffon knocked on the door shivering from the cold door "Can I come in?!" He yelled through the door he stayed as close to the house as possible so the wind wouldent hit him too bad but was glad the horses were in a shelter, he had put them in a small stable type building out back but now he was cold and wet and wanted to get in so he could dry off

"I'm starting to feel better,the soup and dry clothes helped."Lillian told her. She got up and quickly opened the log door, cold wind gushing into the house. Grabbing hold of Griffons tunic,she pulled him inside,slamming the door shut behind him.

Griffon came in and walked over to his stuff "Thanks it is kind of cold and wet out there he said pulling out a scrap of cloth and dried his soaked hair before changing into a dry shirt and going to sit by the Fire "I see you feel better" he said in a half grumble half relived tone

Gaveina seemed to think what had just happened was the funniest thing ever and laughed then bit her toungh and said nothing but sat in the corner messing with her necklace

Lillian glanced over at Gaveina and cocked an eyebrow, sitting on her small bed. " What in the world is wrong with you?" She asked confused. She looked over at Griffon for help.

Griffon sighed and shook his head "She is weird I can't do anything about it..." He shrugged "She comes up with the most creative and weird things in her head out of the most simple things" he said shaking his head as if disappointed then responded by saying "I don't hit girls you know that, and we were 7 it Dosent count all I do was push you when we were racing

Gaveina took and breath and sighed trying not to laugh again "Nothing just you are lucky griffon didn't hit you..." She laughed a little and looked at griffon when she heard his response "Hey you hit me before! It was when we were little kids... But it still counts!"

Lilian shrugged, not even bothering to try and follow their conversation. She stood up and walked over to the small,lone window near the door. She swayed slightly,feeling a bit weak but managed to stay on her feet. Looking out at the awesome storm going on outside, Lillian suddenly felt alone and afraid. What if they cucked her in prison? Was she destined to rot in a lonely cell until she was an old maid? Lillian shivered, cold air blowing through a hole in the wall.

Gaveina looked over "You should really get away from the hole in the wall you might end up worse off than you already are"

Lillian ignored him, lost in her thoughts. A small sigh escaped her parted lips and she rested her forehead against the cold glass, her breath fogging the window. She closed her eyes, thinking about her mama's laughter and her Papa's kind smile. Why did they have to die? Why couldn't she have died instead?? A lone tear trailed down her cheek, then caught at the corner of her lips.
