Hollytail waved her tail to gather her patrol. "Okay where shall we hunt?" she asked the other cats so they can all agree on something. She cast a glance Patchfur's patrol. She looked back at her patrol.

pebbleflight looked between hollytail and fox. "i'm not sure, hollytail. you're leading this patrol, so why don't you decide?" he suggested with a friendly smile. he didn't want to step in and make it seem like he was leading.

DOVESTAR

Dovestar blinked her eyes open, feeling a wet nose buried into her fur. Looking over, she watched as Silverpelt lifted his head, peering out the entrance of the den to where it appeared Ravenfur was dismissing Hoepashine from her vigil. The apprentice had finally become a warrior last night, a ceremony that was long overdo, and she'd spent the night out in the cold snow, guarding camp. Dovestar felt a little bad for her, but it was tradition, and she knew that Hopeshine was just happy to finally be a warrior. Yawning, the leader sat up, shaking her head a little to knock some moss from it.

SPARROWHEART

Sparrowheart was up early, as usual, and sitting in his den grooming himself. Normally he'd be out in camp, but it was way too cold for that. The snow went hallway up his legs and the air was cold as ice, something that also was plenty abundant out there. No thanks. Finishing up his grooming, he sighed, sitting up and glancing over at Silverpaw who was sorting the herbs. At least she was an active apprentice. He didn't even have to tell her to do that. Probably a good thing too, because he was well aware his actual mentoring skills were next to nothing.

HOLLYPAW

Like every morning, Hollypaw was sleeping in. The young she-cat laid curled up in her nest, enjoying the warmth the now fairly dry moss provided. Runningwinds was always a late weaker too, so it didn't concern her she could get in trouble. Of course, Ravenfur always got irritated when she slept in, but oh well. Curling up tighter, she purred a little, tail flicking a bit by her nose.

FOXSPIRIT

She sighed softly, blinking open her eyes and glancing around the inside of the warriors' den. She'd been sleeping there barely even a month and still she wasn't quite used to it. So different from the apprentices' den. Sitting up, the orange she-cat drew her tongue over her pelt, cleaning it of moss and dirt. Shadeheart wasn't there so she assumed he probably woke up earlier.

SHADEHEART

Shadeheart had woken up early and stood out in camp, looking around as other cats emerged from their dens. A cold breeze blew through and shiver racked his pelt. He hated leafbare. He really hated it.

BROOKTAIL

She padded out of the warriors' den, shivering as a blast of cold air hit her. She hated leafbare. Spotting Ravenfur across camp, the she-cat padded over to her, stopping in front of her and nodding in a sign of respect towards the deputy. "Ravenfur. Good morning." Flicking her tail a little, fluffing up her thick coat against the air, she asked, "Are patrols being sent out? I'd like to volunteer."

JAYFROST

Jayfrost shivered, feeling a cold breeze go by. He sat at the entrance to the elders' den, resting. As he only elder, it was pretty roomy in there. He liked sitting by the entrance, though,a o that he could listen in on the going about some of the camp and chat with other cats. At the moment he could hear Ravenfur and his sister talking.

ANGELPAW

Angelpaw was still fast asleep in his nest, sides rising and falling gently. His gray fur fluffed up around him, protecting him from the cold outside.

BLOSSOMSKY

Standing up once the meeting had ended, Blossomsky stretched, white coat fluffing up and practically blending in with the snow around her. Only her bright blue eyes stood out from the surroundings. Standing up straight again, she glanced around as the patrols began to gather and organize themselves. Label flight was saying something to Hollytail and she glanced at him briefly before looking away again, not wanting him to notice. Padding across camp, she went and found a spot under a tree where the snow was relatively shallow, sitting down.

THORNPAW

The young tom's ears pricked up at the mention of his name. He got to go hunting with Stormstar? Awesome! He bounced a little on his paws, excited. When Stormstar padded over, asking if they were ready to go, he nodded. "Yep!" he said excitedly before correcting himself and saying, "I mean- Yes, Stormstar."

DUSKPAW

After the meeting had been called to an end, Duskpaw headed back to the apprnentice's den, padding in and sitting down. It was a whole heck of a lot warmer in there. Shivering, he fluffed up his relatively thin, calico coat. He did not like the snow.

PATCHFUR

She nodded upon hearing her job, sitting up straighter. Once the meeting was adjourned, she stood up, padding over to Charcoalhawk and Sandclaw. She was supposed to lead a hunting patrol with them. "Alright, you two," she said, voice loud, confident, and rude as ever, "let's get going. Unless you wanted stand there and wait until the snow melts beneath your paws." Then turning, she started for the camp entrance, all ready to go.

FAWNDUST

"Come on! Hurry up, you mousedung!" Fawndust waded through the snowy woods, practically bouncing and bounding through the white hills. Hollowwhisper was somewhere behind her, moving at a much slower pace. "You're so slooooooow!"

Hollowwhisper trailed behind his sister, watching in amazement as she moved quickly through the heavy snow. How did she do that? He never understood where on earth she got all that energy. "Wait up," he called, trying to catch up. "Please."

Fox nodded. "Let's think about this for a moment," she paused for a second. "Where do you think would be the best place to hunt at the moment? It seems a bit windy so maybe not somewhere open?" She suggested kindly.

She looked up at Brooktail approached and smiled, nodding towards her. "I was just about to send out dawn patrol! How about you take Hollypaw, Runningwinds, Snowpaw, and Foxspirit?"she told the eager she-cat with a smile.

Silverpelt noticed his mate was awak and smiled licking her ear to catch her attention. "How's you sleep?" he asked her quietly.

Stormpaw glanced around, seeing one one had their attention on them before she began cleaning the wound on her shoulder. Damn it... It stung horribly. She let out a small growl of pain before she looked at the ground, tears filling her eyes. She quickly shut them and shook her head. No. She couldn't be a traitor. She couldn't!

sandclaw nodded obediently and followed after the leader of the hunting patrol, patchfur. he wondered where they were going to be hunting at, but he didn't dare ask because it would seem like he was trying to take over the patrol.

Feeling a lick on her ear, Dovestar turned her head, smiling as Silverpelt's face came into view. "Good," she said in response to his question, eyes softening as she gazed at him. "You?"

Brooktail, nodded, glad to do something. "Yes, Ravenfur," she replied, again nodding her head, this time in respect, before turning to go get the cats she'd listed. Spotted Runningwinds leaving the warriors' den, she called, "Runningwinds, you're on patrol with me. Get Foxspirit too,nalright?" Then continuing on, she padded over to the apprentices' den, poking her head in and seeing Snowpaw and Hollypaw both still fast asleep. Rolling her eyes, she snapped, "Hollypaw, Snowpaw, get up. You're on dawn patrol. Let's go."

HOLLYPAW

Groaning, Hollypaw lifted one eyelid, glancing over at the offending voice that pierced her ears and shattered her comfortable dreams, dragging her into the cold world of reality. Of course, naturally, it was Brooktail. Sighing, she sat up, shivering at the cold. Licking down her fur, shaking out any small bits of moss, she then stood up, yawning. "Yeah, yeah. I'm coming," she drawled sleepily.

THORNPAW

Thornpaw nodded, quickly following behind. He was still a relatively new apprentice, and so the oppurtunity to hunt with the leader of his clan was one he was excited and eager to partake in. Plus, hunting was fun. He wasn't super good at it yet, but practice is how you make perfect.

Padding out of camp, not bothering to glance over her shoulder to see if the two younger Warriors were following, Patchfur glanced around, stopping outside the entrance, seemingly to decide where they should go. After a moment she seemed to have come to a decision and started walking again, calling over her shoulder, "We're hunting by the creek. Don't fall in or you'll freeze your paws off." Then almost as an afterthought, she added, "And if you do fall in don't come crying to me for help. I'm not a medicine cat and I'm not your mother. One less mouth to feed is a-okay by me."

Hollytail dipped her head. "Maybe by the river, close to the border. It's crowded by trees, and there are hills to block the wind." She explained. She got up and shook her fur.

stormstar was happy to have along such great apprentices, but they still needed some work on their hunting moves, most likely. he would have to teach them sometime, or maybe their mentors would. either way, he wanted them to be great hunters when they reached the age of twelve moons and became warriors. stormstar walked quickly, ignoring the fact that their legs were slower and therefore they could not travel as fast through the forest as he could. this will give them some practice, perhaps increase their skill at hunting and running. he thought with a small smile. the leader stopped as they reached the meadow. "okay, we'll all split up. once you think you've got enough prey, come back here, to this huge oak tree, and then we will head back to camp once we've caught enough." he instructed to the young apprentices. "got it?" he asked them, a small purr coming from his throat.

Rabbitsnare rolled over in his nest with a grunt and looked outside as the world was coated with white. He glared at the snow in anger. "Damn Leaf Bare...." he grumbled, rolling his eyes, before carefully getting up and glancing over at Jayfrost. "Since we both know the apprentices are gonna be a lazy lot of mouse brains today, do ya want anything to eat?" he asked, giving the young tom a pointed look.

The tiny white apprentice listed her head up and saw her mentor. It was to early to be awak in her opintion but Dawn patrol had to be done. She scrambled up to her feet and followed the much bigger Hollypaw outside. She shivered as the rough breeze hit her but she padded after the other female apprentice quickly.

The white and orange tom let out a groan before heading back inside the Warriors den. He groaned as he searched for the young she cat, accidentally stoping in a few cat's tails and paws. He found her and prodded her with his paw. "Get up. Foxspirit. Get up." he sighed, continusly poking her with an anoyyed exspression.
