Tikaani is a rather tall man, ranging up to six feet six inches. He never kept track, though; too much time was spent fighting for shelter and food.
He is evenly statured, well-muscled without looking like a monster; his muscles are more toned than pronounced. His jaw is angled and square, a pretty firm structure; the same goes for the rest of his face. His nose curves inward the slightest bit at the very tip, resembling something like a bird of prey, perhaps a hawk. His eyes are positioned where any eyes should be; just above the nose and in the center of the face. The color of them could be described as a common brown, but indeed they are an incredibly dark shade of this color...nearly black. They also seem to be incredibly deep, the black color of the pupil blending with the brown of the iris in the shadows, but becoming more pronounced in the light.
His lips are full without being too big; about medium sized, well proportioned, though his upper lip is just the slightest bit thinner than his lower one. He has somewhat larger hands, but with the addition of long agile fingers, they seem to be normal sized.
Personality:
Tikaani is a very determined man, able and hardy. He has learned to be this way over years of barely enough food and even less shelter. This planet ruled by women is what he was born to, and he knows nothing other than a life of hardship and poverty, of constant fighting and living in fear that your defenses will not be enough to keep the predators at bay.
For his entire life, Tikaani dreaded the day when he and others would be thrown out into the jungle, left to be hunted down by a group of highly-trained females; to become their slaves for life. There was no resisting this; it was the females' will, and who were males to dispute it? Nothing.
These factors and others have built a tough, hard exterior to Tikaani, shadowing his dark eyes and setting his angular jaw. His eyes are always calculating, sizing up, deducting and thinking. He is a very intelligent male, discovering new things on his own and not telling another soul about them. He knows that this planet would be nothing without the males, too. Without them, the females would have no hunt, no preoccupation; no offspring, either. At times, it didn't make sense to him; why were females, the ones who seemed more susceptible to emotions and lacks of strength...why were they the supreme rulers? But then the evidence of their monarchy would make themselves evident to him, and he would dismiss any thoughts of anarchy. It was best to keep his thoughts to himself, not even sharing them with his closest friends.
This is the reason for his nearly-eternal silence. He hardly speaks a word unless it is absolutely necessary. If words need not be spoken, he won't give in to the temptation of talking. He considers it a waste of time and valuable breath; thinking was a much more worthy occupation. Maybe, if the others would spend more time thinking and calculating, they could find a way to overthrow the monarchy.
But the festival is quickly approaching, and there'ss no time to create an organized riot. Tikaani knows that he will be one of the ones to be released into the jungle to be hunted. And at this point in time, it isn't so much the females that he worries over...rumours of a beast have reached his ears, a predator so mightily foul that even the females have been killed. It seemed to him that he would be fighting for not only his freedom, but his very life itself.
