Before being kidnapped, Blanche was a pretty normal RPW. He was on the bland side color wise, being white with only a few markings, but that was okay. He never really liked being in the spotlight anyway. In his childhood his parents were rather wealthy, and sent him to a private school for better education. There he learned that he really liked to sew and sort and stack things. It never got old for him, although it seemed to bore other RPW's to death. Later on, he joined a community college and got a basic Associate's degree, to please his parents. They expected Blanche to continue his studies and become a doctor or scientist, so they were quite surprised when their son told them through sign language that he wouldn't be continuing his studies. Nevertheless, they handed Blanche enough money to buy a good sized house with, trusting him to be responsible with it. He found a job in a burlap sack factory; R&J's Sacks 'n Stuff. He was just settling in, getting comfortable in his new home and workplace. It was totally unexpected when he was taken.
Blanche awoke, groggy. Everything was fuzzy around the edges... or maybe that was just his vision. His body felt... heavy. Large. In pain? It was hard to think with such sluggish thoughts. Think with thoughts... it struck him as funny. "Hhhh..." he wheezed through closed jowls. Blanche was suddenly aware that the couldn't move his mouth. That snapped him out of his lethargy quickly. He raised a heavy paw to claw at his muzzle- DEAR SWEET MOTHER OF ANGEL RPW'S, WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS PAWS! They were disgusting, hairless and strangely colored, with gigantic talons. He checked his back legs; same changes. At least his legs and mouth were the only things that were different. That and his strangely blurred vision. Blanche stared at his claws, working his jaw and trying to get used to the feeling of stitches. He lay there for a long period, just contemplating. After a while, he began to stand up from his laying position. Might as well see what this new place looked like. First of all, he was in a cage. Just barely large enough for him to stand in. the bars were iron, without any decoration, and too close together for his ugly claws to fit through. He turned to examine the other side, when he caught sight of his tail. He hadn't thought much of it when he wasn't able to move it, how it felt heavier, much heavier than usual. But he assumed that perhaps it was chained, perhaps still under the effects of whatever medicine that doctor used. Now he saw the truth. THERE WAS SOME SORT OF UGLY CREATURE ATTACHED TO HIS TAIL.

Life Before Becoming An Experiment:The Before
Rimi
Riimi lived in a small underground cave, in a seemingly dragon like fashion. A hoard of whatever shiny things made their way into wonderland sat in the back corner, and it was around here that Rimi slept. But, let us rewind, back to when Rimi is just a small pup. They have two other brothers, and one sister. They live with their mother and the rest of their siblings, and actually had an average life, excluding the fact that they were fatherles.
Espoir
Espoir was born into a poor family, working from a young age to provide for his brothers. His father was rarely home, and when he was home he would sulk and growl. Espoir tried to keep the family together, yet this, however was not enough, as he was sold to Chi for a good sum of money at he age of 11, and stayed in captivity for 7 years.Capture
Rimi
It seemed like a good idea at the time. Rimi had first noticed the scent the night before, a thick, sweet one, that reminded them of something that they just could not place. Maybe it was the scent of, oranges? No, sweeter, like tangerines. Rimi didn't mind. Thinks like this happened all the time in wonderland, it was probably just a trick of their mind. They were certain that it would have dissipated by morning. However, the strange scent still lingered in the air when wonderland was greeted by the sun, and Rimi felt compelled to investigate. They flicked their tail, tasted the air, and turned to head in the direction of the scent.
The path ahead was tangled and dense, many strange, exotic flowers twisting amongst the vegetation of wonderland. Rimi ignored these small specks of colour, picking up the pace of his walk. The scent was stronger now, filling the air, filling the mind of the Fulmuth, leaving him with one goal. Find the source of this scent. They ran forward, heedless of the dangers they knew could be found in wonderland.
"Stop!" Their brain yelled, yet to its horror, Rimi surged on. They glanced at the land in front of them, wondering for a split second where they were. Paws pounding the ground. Eyes flashing. Head to the air. Tasting the scent. It was getting stronger. Closer. Inhale. Exhale. Breathe. The scent was closer. Stronger. Clearer. Closer. Rimi surged onwards, running blindly. The scent was so strong, and then, just like that, it was gone. Rimi perked up their ears, looking around, confused by the disappearance of the smell. They shook their head. No. This was not possible. Smells do not just disappear. They shook their head. This wasn't happening. they hadn't come all this way just to lose the scent. The Fulmuth turned around, wondering where they were. Dense green undergrowth surrounded them, with no visible path where Rimi had cut through. Their was a rustle in the bush, and Rimi turned his broad head to the direction of the sound. Maybe whatever was in their would help him. He pushed through the undergrowth to find a strange, many tailed wolf there. The white and grey wolf tilted his head to the side, as if studying the Fulmuth. Rimi, hoping this creature understood english, called out with his mind.
"Hello?"
The wolf twitched one tail, a smile flashing across his face. Rimi blinked. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. The wolf thing bowed, tails flicking back and forward, like charmed serpents.
He gestured with his paw. Come here, he seemed to say.
Rimi couldn't resist. They trotted forward, towards the top hatted wolf. They should've watched their step. The net closed around Rimi before he could acknowledge what was happening. He was caught. The many tailed rpw smiled, and Rimi twisted awkwardly to face him. The Fulmuth flicked his neck back and spit at the rpw who had him captured. Chance gracefully ducked out of the way, before meeting eyes with the spitting Fulmuth.
"Nice to meet you too."
Espoir
"Hush child, it's not long now."
The small white and orange rpw snuggled closer to his mother as they walked down the cold street.
The pup pushed against his mum, yet when he got no response diverted his attention, instead staring at the ground. He noted the small, crystalline fractures tracing the cement, and briefly wondered how the cracks got there. In a few hours, this wouldn't matter to the small pup. In just a few hours, his life would change forever.
The room was quiet, its whitewashed walls seeming to swallow all sound. Espoir shivered, pressing his side against his mother.
The pup flinched as a door on the other side of the room creaked open, a strange, pale rpw stepping through. The first thing Espoir noticed was the stiches. The second was the way the rpw's eyes darted around the room. The third thing he realized was that he was going to be left here.
He bared his teeth, puffing out his fur, as if he was trying to scare away something. Chisinki glared at the pup, as if questioning his decision on taking him. After a brief moment of thought, Chisinki pulled an envelope from the breast pocket of his lab coat and handed it to Espoir's mother. Chisinki nodded to Espoir, gesturing for him to follow. He refused, staying still in the eerily silent room. Chi's lip twitched slightly at the disobedient pup.
"Come."
Chisinki said, as if scolding a disobedient dog. Espoir growled, baring his long teeth at the stitched wolf, before glancing over at his mother. His eyes begged for help, for her to save him, for her to let him press himself against his mother even if just for one last time. She turned away, tears brimming over her eyes.
"It's for the good of our family. Otherwise we will all starve."
she murmured, before exiting the room. That was the last Espoir saw of his mother. Now that he knew she wasn't coming back he collapsed, like a lifeless doll, small sobs wracking his slender frame. Chisinki took no notice of his distress, and pulled him to his lab.
It was in the lab that Chisinky took everything from Espoir. Not only his childhood, but his spirit. Something shattered inside of Espoir, something that would have never been fixed, if, after six years of this torture, another creature had not shown up in a cage next to Espoir's. The creature was tall and skinny, a strange, furless thing. It introduced itself as Rimi, and they bonded almost instantly. Of course, they never knew just how close they would become.
Escape:
It was cold in there. Rimi lifted his head off the floor, looking around the cage. Nothing had changed since the night before, except the two silver dishes in the left corner had been refiled with dry kibble and water. Espoir twitched beside them, and Rimi turned to the rest of his body. The dirty blanket that was one of the few comforts in this cage had slipped off the sleeping paint wolf, yet Rimi gently picked it up and laid it over his body, then curled next to Espoir. After a couple hours of being curled next to his boy, Rimi gently nudged Espoir, who rolled over.
Let me sleep Rimi.
Espoir, wake up!
The Fulmuth continued to nudge his body until Espoir finally opened his eyes.
Espoir, Rimi has been working on our jailbreak.
What? We can't escape!
Let Rimi explain themself to you. You see, the one who made Rimi like this believes we are weak, yet Rimi knows we are strong. Rimi knows that the scary one does not know about our link, the scary one doesn't know we can communicate. Yet we have no time to make a mistake. We must keep calm, we must escape. Rimi must have their freedom.See I’ve been working on a jailbreak
Got no time for a mistake
Any moment til the day breaks
No more time to get to know you
I’ve been working on a jailbreak
Keep it calm with the fast pace
Any moment til the day breaks
No more time to get to know you
Chishiki yanked the Espoir and Rimi out of the cage.
Time for action.
The room was painted white, with silver cages bolted to the walls. Most seemed unoccupied, yet the occasional flicker of movement from the mounds of unwashed blankets proved that something was inside them. Espoir flopped onto the floor, being as still and limp as possible.
"Get up." Chishiki commanded.
The rpw on the floor did just the opposite of that, he stayed motionless on the cold silver floor. When Chishiki approached, the rpw twitched. Rimi slowly opened and closed his mouth, like a fish gasping for air. The stitched together scientist glanced nervously at his creation, which at this point was writhing on the floor. Suddenly, the creature went rigid. Their chest rose and fell rapidly, and a few of their toes twitched slightly, as if strumming an instrument. Twitch. Freeze. Twitch.
Rimi knew this would work. Now, Espoir, on the count of three.
Rimi twisted himself around the nearby leg of a table, shaking it slightly. The beakers and vials on the table top rattled and vibrated.
Three...
Through his telepathy, Espoir began a soft moan, just faint at first, yet rising and arching into a guttural howl.
Two...
Chishiki's eyes were wide with panic as his experiment seemed to lapse into a twitching, jittery heap.
One...
Espoir changed the pitch of his mental howl to a higher, more painful one, as Rimi yanked the table, causing an assortment of glass instruments to come shattering down into shards of crystal.
Zero...
The rpw leapt to his feet, eyes flashing. Rimi pushed the table, causing it and all the contents on it to come crashing down. Some chemicals must have mixed with each other, because a thick, of purple smog that hissed and burned rose from the broken vials, as Chishiki looked on in horror. Rimi jerked his head back, spitting at the stitched together wolf's face, and then they ran.
Down the white washed hall of the lab, past cages of white rats and dark rooms that still haunted the corners of Espoir's mind, they ran. Past cages of hopeless looking rpws, past things that brought forward far to many painful memories, past doors and halls, they ran. Not stopping to think. Not stopping to breathe. They ran until they reached a door. Not any door. The door that would lead them out of this hellhole. They burst through the heavy metal door and inhaled. Above them, the stars twinkled down, as if saying hello to a friend they hadn't seen for years. A small bat flew over head, and Espoir watched the tiny creature in wonder. Suddenly, there was a blur of purple, and a limp wing hung from the side of Rimi's mouth.
Espoir gaped at his tail, before narrowing his eyes.
Rimi, you cant just eat anything!
Rimi blinked innocently, his four eyes showing something Espoir had never seen in them before. His eyes, were happy.
Rimi won't eat anything. Rimi only eats what tastes good!
Oh no....
The Now:
Espoir
All my life I was running. From bullies, from memories, and sometimes from myself. I ran because it was a thing I was good at, and loved. I loved the feeling of the wind in my fur, the sound my paws hitting the ground, pounding out a steady rhythm and above all, I loved the freedom. After the 7 years I spent in Chisinki's lab, trapped in a cage, I longed to run again. After escaping, I was weak, my legs barely able to support myself. Yet now, three years after being escaped from the lab, I have a goal. To not run away from my fears, but to run with them, daring them to catch me. I ran my first official race two months ago. I must admit, Rimi and I got a few strange glances, but we came in third place, a great acheivment for us. I think we found something we can do. I think now we are truly free.
RPW Personality:
Espoir suffers from very extreme trust issues, due to never having a stable parent to rely on as a child. He tends to retreat inside himself if he feels threatened or nervous around another animal, making him seem like an empty shell to many outsiders. the one creature he does trust is Rimi, and he may even go as far to say Rimi is his friend. For many rpws, claiming they have a friend is not a strange thing, yet for this rpw, if they said that, it would be like seeing a rpw with two heads... Oh.... Wait.... Despite their strange appearance, Espoir dreams of becoming a professional athlete, however his lack of self confidence hinders this goal.
Fulmuth Personality: Being ripped apart by a mad scientist has definitely left some deep scars on Rimi and although they are cuddly to Espoir, they will snap or bite at anyone else who gets to near their body. They are extremely intelligent, yet seem to not show this to the outside world. They refer to themself in third person, yet when talking about Espoir they will use we and us. Rimi is extremely picky, and if something is happening that he doesn't like, he will do anything he can to stop it. This includes the rain, one thing Rimi hates above all else. Coming from Wonderland, Rimi does not understand some of the normal values in rpw society, including that you can not eat whatever you want. This particular belief has led to some problems for Espoir, yet he can not really complain, as he needs Rimi to survive.
Two Minds, One Body:
A lightly built rpw, known to most as Espoir, struggled against its tail, who had latched its jaw around the leg of a grand oak table, one of the few nice things in the small house, and refused to let go.
Rimi, let go of the table. We need to go outside.
But Rimi hates the rain!
I don't like the rain either, but we can't just sulk inside.
Says who?
Well, we need to find food.
Rimi isn't hungry.
You don't even have a stomach! But I do!
Not coming.
Rimi, please.
No! Not coming!
If you don't come, I will...
Will what?
I will... not talk to you!
Fine!
Fine.
As you can probably see, Espoir and Rimi may not have the best relationship. Rimi is extremely stubborn when it comes to some things, such as going out in the rain. Rimi seems not to understand that they should try and build a stronger relationship, seeing as they are now, in some way, one creature with Espoir.
