It was just over a year ago now that the forest was torn apart by war, clan fighting clan in an all out battle. Blood soaked the grounds and cries of terror and rage filled the forest. By the end of it, hardly a cat stood standing...

It was after the war that Dovestar, the now ex-leader of what used to be Riverclan, had an idea. She would gather together any remaining cats from the four clans and form a new clan, one that was strong and united: Dawnclan- to represent the dawn of a new era upon the forest. No longer would they stand divided, but instead work as one, living in peace and harmony. That was the idea, anyways. However, not everyone agreed.

Stormblaze, the deputy of the newly formed Dawnclan, disagreed with the way Dovestar was running her clan. He thought she was soft and fragile. So gathering together a group of cats, he broke away from Dawnclan, forming his own, new clan: Stormclan.

Now the remaining cats of the war are split between two clans, divided. Tensions are running high through the forest not only between the two clans but among them as well. Can these warriors learn to cooperate and understand one another in order to survive? Or will old rivalries and bad blood tear them apart, destroying the warrior way forever?

➸ Dovestar is a strongly built middle-aged she-cat with mottled brown and gold fur marked by darker tabby lines and a stripe of white extending from her stomach to her forehead. Her eyes are a dull, bluish hazel color and hold many years of patience and wisdom within them. Though not as slim as some she-cats, she is incredibly graceful and has a soft but firm and somewhat deep voice.

➸ A patient leader, she is calm, waiting for what she knows is right. She is sure in every decision she makes and doesn't believe in having any regrets. She is modest and humble, admitting her own faults easily. She also sees the warrior in everyone and will often look past what others won't to see what's inside. Despite these qualities, though, there are certain aspects of her personality that make her a rather weak leader. She is soft-hearted, accepting any stray cat into her clan. Dovestar is also rather weak hearted and has trouble dealing with certain situations. Although she may act cold and stern on the outside, she really is quite fragile within. She also has a major soft spot for kittens, one of the only things that can genuinely make her smile.

➸ Born and raised in Riverclan, her warrior name was Doveflight. She lived an average warrior's life, and after the leader she grew under died of old age the new leader appointed her his deputy. Thrilled, she took her duties seriously, working hard for her clan. Not long after her appointment, however, she found herself pregnant with her mate Featherclaw's kit. Not one to let this distract her, she continued to work, excluding herself from activities that would put strain on her kit while still organizing patrols and overseeing apprentice training. Finally, her beautiful kit Lilykit was born. Time went on, and many seasons later the great Clan War broke out. Doveflight fought mightily, as did her mate and daughter, who by then was a young warrior herself. Sadly, both Lilystorm and Featherclaw were killed in the war, and not long after their clan's leader followed. Despite struggling through the grief of losing her family, Dovestar resumed her position as leader, doing all she could to protect her clan.

➸ After the end of the Clan War, Dovestar was shocked to see how much carnage lay about. Cats were dead everywhere. More dead than alive. Realizing the serious threat of an oncoming leafbare with hardly any remaining organization amongst the Clans, she decided to bring together any remaining cats she could find from the four clans and to unite them into one new clan called Dawnclan, hoping they could maybe bring a new dawn upon the decimated forest.

➸ Dovestar is how mates with her childhood friend Silverpelt, a handsome gray tom she grew up in Riverclan with. He's loved her since they were young but only just recently confessed. Sh eventually accepted his confession and they are now happily together.

➸ It is unknown how many lives Dovestar has to anyone but her, partially due to the confusion of the war making it hard for others to keep track of. Although, according to Silverpelt, she doesn't have many, probably less than four.

Sparrowheart was born, along with his siblings Rabbitkit, Fawnkit, and Hollowkit, to Mapleheart of Windclan and Briarpelt of Riverclan. He never met his father Briarpelt, but he naturally inherited his Riverclan love for water and enjoys swimming or taking walks in the rain. He is lithe and thin like a Riverclan cat as well as agile and strong-limbed like a Windclan cat. A great combination.
Growing up in Windclan, Sparrowheart's best friend was and still is Ivydusk, a she-cat with a small (major) crush on him. He's never taken much notice of her love for him, though, and has always just considered her his best friend. When they were young they promised to train hard together so they could one day become warriors.
When the war came he was still a young app remote and not trained enough to fight. Instead he hid, avoiding the fighting as much as possible. One day, the Windclan camp was attacked by Shadowclan Warriors, and him and his two siblings watched from beneath a bush as their mother was killed right in front of them. Sparrowheart still has nightmares about it.
By the end of the war Sparrowheart and his siblings had somehow gotten separated, and it is assumed that both are dead now. Upon hearing of Dawnclan he immiedately joined, but not as a regular apprentice. Instead he became the medicine cat apprentice, deciding that he wanted to be able to save others rather than sit by and watch as he had with his mother. Only a short while into his training, though, his mentor Sparkleaf passed away, and so he took on the position of medicine cat rather young with very little help or training. He's a quick learner, though, and does his very best.
As an apprentice Sparrowheart fell in love with an ex-Riverclan she-cat named Fogpaw. They spent a lot of time with one another and became very close very quickly. Unfortunately, though, she too died of an illness around the same time as his mentor. He was devestated and it only made him want to become a medicine cat even more. He didn't want anyone else to die like she had. He hated to lose those around him and he wanted to be able to do something about it.

➳ Ivydusk: His best friend since kithood. The two planned on becoming warriors together but Sparrowheart strayed off that path after the Clan War and instead became a medicine cat. His choice frustrated Ivydusk as she has always had a huge crush on him but he doesn't seem to realize this. The two are still close friends now and he appears to have no idea of her love for him and considers her just a friend.

➳ Fogpaw (deceased): His first and so far only love. He met Fogpaw as an apprentice after joining Dawnclan. The two became close rather quickly and he developed quick feelings for her. However, one day she fell suddenly ill and unfortunately died. This devestated Sparrowheart and he has become far more cold and closed off ever since. He still often thinks of Fogpaw (renamed Fogheart) and continues to have deep feelings for her posthumously.

➳ Sparkleaf (deceased): His mentor. Sparkleaf was the first medicine cat of Dawnclan as well as his mentor, though only briefly. She taught him all he knows about being a medicine cat and he looked up to her very much as a guide. Unfortunately, around the same time that Fogpaw fell ill she did as well. She too died and along with Fogpaw's death it was a very hard blow for him. He was forced to take place as the new medicine cat long before he was ready and now when he is uncertain of what to do, as he often is being rather inexperienced, he tries to imagine what Sparkleaf would do.

➳ Silverpaw: His apprentice. He doesn't know Silverpaw very well and makes somewhat of an effort not to. She is a sweet cat, though, and he admits that she does a good job. He thinks she will make an excellent medicine cat one day.

➳ Mapleheart (deceased): His mother. He had a good relationship with his mother as a kit and young apprentice. She was killed in front of him by a Shadowclan cat during the war. He remembers the scene very vividly and still had nightmares about it. His mother's death has haunted him ever since.

➳ Briarpelt (deceased): His father. They never met, though Sparrowheart likes to imagine he was a good cat.

➳ Rabbitkit (deceased): His brother. He doesn't really remember him all too well as he died the first winter after their birth, but he knows that he was a small brown kit and that before falling sick he was rather fun loving and playful.

➳ Fawnpaw (MIA - presumed deceased): His sister. He was very annoyed by her growing up but cared for her never the less. They spent a lot of time together and when she went missing during the war it was very upsetting to him. Now he doesn't speak of her, presuming her to be dead. Only cats who met her before the war would have known about her.

➳ Hollowpaw (MIA - presumed deceased): His brother. They got along fairly well and were close growing up. They spent a lot of time together and when he went missing along with their sister during the war it was very upsetting to him. Now he doesn't speak of him, presuming him to be dead. Only cats who met him before the war would have known about him.

History// Hollypaw was born in Thunderclan during the war. Her mother died after the kitting and she never met her father. She was raised by the remaining cats in Thunderclan until the end of the war. When Dawnclan was formed she was brought there and watched over by the queen's along with another orphaned kit named Gingerkit until she finally became an apprentice. When she was young she'd run around camp and cause trouble, racing between the warriors' paws with Gingerkit and tripping them up or sneakin out of camp to stalk the apprentices. Once she became an apprentice she trained hard, though she doesn't pay very good attention. She quickly became close to two ex-Riverclan apprentices, Sunpaw and Mistpaw. Sunpaw soon became a warrior, Sunsplash, and confessed to her that he liked her. She accepted his confession, agreeing to become his mate, without the knowledge that Mistpaw also liked her. After that eh drew away from her and she never knew why.
Hollypaw is infamous for her other side, 'Dark Holly'. She goes into a blind rage and attacks without thinking, no matter who it is she's attacking or what sort of relationship she had with them prior to them doing whatever it is that angered her. This has happened a few times since she joined Dawnclan, the most recent being when Mistpaw ran away, leaving the clan. She chased after attacked her once friend and the two fought until he managed to escape, though she made sure to let him know that if she ever saw him again she wouldn't hesitate to kill him. They haven't seen each other since. This incident put a damper on her already tense relationship with Squirrelpaw, another apprentice who is very much in love with Mistpaw. To add onto her list of bad relationships with the other apprentices, she's extremely suspicious of Foxpaw and believes that she may be a traitor to the clan, though isn't sure yet.

Writing Sample// Hollypaw ran through the woods chasing a rabbit when suddenly, BOOM! A purple Mistpaw appeared! So she pulled out her Poké ball and she captured him for her collection. Then, though, a giant griffon swooped down and carried her off to sugar rainbow land where she met the God of Starclan, Swiftpaw. He told her that she needed to save the emerald puppies and so she did and they all lived happily ever. Except Graypaw, cause nobody likes him. The end.

Nah, just kidding. Seriously, though, I got lazy and used this form. Much easier.

Aspenwind is smaller than average so he has both an advantage and disadvantage in both fighting and hunting. Her father was slaughtered in battle, somehow both her and her mother survived the fighting by going into hiding. Yet, Aspenwind's mother was killed in a fire. This is around when Aspenwind became emotionless.

Aspenwind felt like there was something caught in the back of her throat, yet, she did not choke. She did not have anything to let go of, it was only an illusion- A false feeling. But it was there, and it was not fake, so Aspenwind wondered what it could be. The fire seeped around her, it smelled like something dark and dreary. Aspenwind found herself coughing, but she was not hacking the feeling in the back of her throat out, this cough burned. Worse than any cough ever, yet all Aspenwind had seen was war, war, and yet more war. But.. In her early days of Windclan she recalled the peace. Where was that now? "M-Mot-her!" She called over the crackling of the burning wood, trying to look up at the sky to only see bright curling flames. She wailed, helplessly, as her mother was nowhere to be found.
