Briarmask nodded quickly and followed his lead without hesitation, keeping to his side without stepping very far from him. with how close the pair had been walking, most felines could tell something was up. as his gaze flickered over toward the medicine den, the warrior noticed her son and Duskpaw walking rather close and smiled, following Greynose over toward the pair. hearing her words, Briarmask nudged the deputy into the den, figuring he'd want to investigate.
Lynxpaw flicked his ears at her purr, a brief rumble of his own flowing up from deep within his chest. as her cool nose pressed against his cheek, the tom twitched briefly and chuckled at himself, trying to cheer up his crush. "c'mon Duskpaw, she's going to live thanks to you!" he purred loudly, draping his paw over her back. as his mother and Greynose entered, his gaze snapped up, noting how his mother seemed to glow. as the two passed and headed into the den, a low growl rumbled up from within his throat, claws unsheathing.
Rowanpaw narrowed her eyes sharply as the tomcat spoke, her fur raising. cursing the leader under her breath, the medicine cat glared at him. "listen here. don't you dare act like you run this den, because I do. you are here temporarily and I am more than aware of what I am doing. you are to do as you are told, nothing more, nothing less." she snapped, much like her mother would.
Spiderfang noticed his father as soon as he'd entered camp, relief rolling off of his obsidian pelt in thick waves. spotting his father's recognition, the tomcat raced toward him and pounced, knocking his father off of his paws and pinning him underneath his slender torso. "I've missed you and mother so very much. not a day went by that I didn't think of you two." he purred, licking adderfang's muzzle affectionately as he then stepped off to let him back up, smiling widely.
Styx awoke a few moments later, padding out of the den. her peaceful slumber had been short-lived as nightmares had quickly plagued her after her eyelids had fallen shut. sitting beside the entrance, the jet black femmora began to groom the chunks of moss from her fur, quietly remaining in place.
Scorchpaw nodded his agreement with a smile then heard the quick pattern of paw steps. spotting his brother alongside his recently-appointed mentor as they padded through the ferns, the tom purred and offered his littermate a grin. "of course, Sunfeather." he laughed, padding over to his littermate to bump shoulders with him as they always had. "It's been pretty good, how about yours?" he chuckled, listening to his response to his own mentor's question. watching Crowpaw with mild amusement, the apprentice chuckled, shaking out his thick ginger and white pelt.
