As usual, Kat was spending her day off wandering the city, letting her curiosity lead her. Wearing a pink leopard-printed set of cat ears and a matching tail to accompany the rest of her eccentric outfit, Kat stood out on the street like a sore thumb. Kat didn't seem phased by this, though, as she strolled along the sidewalk nonchalantly, bobbing her head to the music blasting from her ipod's earbuds.

Feeling her stomach growl, Kat looked up to see what places were around. Seeing that she just so happened to be standing right outside of Macca's, she opened the door and headed in.

Immediately her mismatched eyes fell upon a few other furries. With a friendly smile she lifted her hand to give them a friendly, finger-wiggling wave. Then she headed to the back of the line, right behind Sarah and Ebony. Her eyes lingered on Ebony for a moment, finding the girl extremely cute. "Hi guys," she greeted them warmly in her chirpy voice. It was nice to see others like her around, other people who were 'different'.

[Rose.]

Ebony watched as the Furry at the counter got slid a small note and the Furry accepted it. Her emerald eyes followed the Furry to where he sat before he unravelled the note and the look that crossed his face wasn't too pleased. Frowning as he scrunched it back up and threw it behind him, she watched as it landed on the table where Izzy and Cris were situated at. The next things that happened took her by pure surprise, Cris went to grab it but Izzy growled and hissed. Ebony's eyes widened as Izzy burst into tears and ran towards the cubicals. Her eyes darted to Cris with worry but some one's voice took her attetion. Spinning around, Ebony saw Kat and her face lit up. "Hi!" She beamed, realising the two ears on the girls' head. Another Furry? This day kept getting better and better.

Izzy growled when the girl grabbed her unhurt hand, yanking it away and glaring at the girl with so much hate she could almost burn straight through her. "Don't touch me," She hissed, brown eyes slits as she backed away, having stopped crying the exact moment her skin met this girls. She didn't know her, she'd just touched her and Izzy was already in bad enough shape. She stopped growling, coming to her senses and cursing herself. Once again, she screwed everything up. She glared at the girl one last time beforetsking off, running from Maccas as fast as she could.

"Oh god . . ." Cris flinched as she watched the scene that took place outside, watched Izzy run full pelt towards the car park. "What now?" Cris asked Fabian, voice strained with worry, "she looked really upset . . ."

Zack frowned, noticing the cute little fox girl, tears still wet on her cheeks as she seemed to have an argument with another furry outside. He saw that Hirt Han seemed hurt and, reminded of how his poor little sister used to hurt, he was overcome with an urge to protect the girl. Standing, he abandoned the rest of his food and headed outside, walking past the girl and following the path the fox girl had ran.

Kat's mismatched eyes followed Ebony's to the drama going on between the other furries. A small frown tugged at her bright pink lips; she didn't like to see people fighting. Why couldn't everyone just be happy?

But when Ebony turned her attention back to Kat, Kat's eyes sprung back to the lovely lady's. Holding out a slender hand, she greeted, "I'm Kat." Her eyes turned impatiently at the people behind the counter, and she asked, "How long have you guys been waiting in line?"

[Rose.]

Ebony smiled warmly towards the new furry and dipped her head slightly, making her jet-black furred ears move slightly with the motion. "It's a pleasure, Kat." She took Kat's hand in her own and shook it lightly before letting her own rest back at her side. "I'm Ebony." The black-eared cat offered another smile before a frown pulled down at her lips in thought. "A little while... not too long, though." Ebony shrugged her slim shoulders lightly before turning slightly so she could look back at the counters and the people standing behind them. She remembered the note one of them had given the Furry, and she began to wonder what the note had said. Dismissing the thought, she turned back to Kat and offered yet another smile.

"Nice to meet you, Ebony." Kat nearly purred out the words - such a flirt. She never pushed it, though; she had encountered many creeps in her life and was not interested in becoming one of them.

When Ebony mentioned that she had been in line for a little while, Kat rolled her eyes slightly in the direction of the counter. "Jeeze, I'm starving," she murmured, glancing over the menu even though she already knew what she wanted. Suddenly she became aware of the loud volume of the music that poured from her earbuds, and reaching into her pocket, she pulled out her ipod, turning the volume down. Then she turned her attention back to Ebony. Nodding her chin in the direction of the other furries, she asked, "Do you know them?"

[Rose.]

Ebony noted the tone of the girls' voice, just etching onto a purr. And that brought a smile to her lips once more. Kat's words made Ebony nod lightly in agreement. "I know, me too. I wish they'd hurry it up a little." She muttered and sighed before answering Kat's next question. "Sure I do." She smiled in a warm mannor, "Although I haven't known them for that long... say fifteen minutes at max. I met them here, just today." She beamed.

"I never really knew how many Furries were in this town... I'm so happy that there are a lot, though." Ebony smiled toothily at Kat before looking over to the other Furries and frowning when she realised Fox Girl hadn't came out of the bathroom yet. And Cris had moved over to Fabian. A frown momentarily crossed her features before she shook it away and replaced it with the smile that normally ran across her face.

Stopping when she felt the other girl yank her hand out of her grip, she turned around and started walking backwards, while tilting her head slightly. She was glaring at her now? Oh! Perhaps she had seen her at the mall with the balloons and hated clowns! That would be it! "Oi! Y'know, if you keep banning the clowns like that-" She didn't get to utter much more, before the other hissed at her. Hahah! That's why, man, that part time job is going to haunt me for the rest of my life! I'm going to end up like an old grumpy hag with a shotgun, just staring out my window all day for clowns. She sighed and stepped to the side, when the other zoomed past her. She turned her head and looked behind her, scratching her back head.

She turned her head back towards entrance, when the doors got opened and a guy with bunny ears stepped out, before starting to run after the other girl. Grabbing his arm, when he passed her, she gave him a slight tug to make him stop. "Oi! You know that girl? Because if you do, I'm sorry for... yeah, whatever I did. And if you do, you shouldn't have let the gender boundaries come between you, 'know! True friends comforts even if they're seeking refuge in a bathroom!" She released the poor hostage - the guys arm, before turning and walking briskly towards the way the other girl had run. "Should I go apologize? Because, I don't know if that would send the wrong signals, y'know? And perhaps she just likes to be alone. Jesus! People are so confusing! Oh, and by the way? She really needs to get that hand looked after, it looks like Jesus after the ninth hour," she chuckled a little, her mother and father would have thrown a hissy fit, if she had said that around them. She nuzzled one of the black ears on her head, before reaching into her pocket and pulling out a lollipop. Unwrapping it and sticking it into her mouth, she grumpy muttered:
"Man, I need some sugar!"

Kat continued to smile as Ebony explained that she had only known the other furries for a short while. That smile seemed to always be on Kat's face - if it wasn't there, you knew that something really bad was going on. Absently she reached back to grab the purple leopard-printed tail that hung from her skinny black jeans and twirled it between her fingertips as she replied. "Yeah, me either... I've always been home schooled, this will be my first year in a real school. I hope there are lots of furries there too." Her eyes flickered back to Ebony's, looking hopeful. "What school do you go to?"

Her eyes shifted to the sound of yelling, and she lifted an eyebrow; wow, there sure was a lot of drama here right now. But, even though her hands froze for a second, she didn't stop smiling, and soon she was back to entwining her tail between her fingers in a bored fashion.
