"No no! I'll stay!" I bounced up and down. I'm a clan cat now! The wind picked up again. It swirled around the den ruffling my fur. "Welcome to LakeClan!" I felt the feeling of a tail brush my face. I looked up at Rivermist but she hadn't moved. I smiled at her anyway. "I'm with Lakeclan Rivermist!" I nuzzled against her then smiled at Hawkwing.

Rivermist smiled. "And you'll be safe here." she added warmly.

Sunstar watched them for a moment, thinking. "Hawkwing, Rivermist? Can you two take care of Skykit until she is used to the clan ways? You seem the closest to her." he asked, his tail flicking and his expression asking for an answer.

Hawkwing nodded, "yes of course we will." The dark brown tabby looked confident but in truth he was kind of nervous having to care for a kit that wasn't his own.

(Aw! Not even mates yet they already get to experience the joys of raising a kit together! #Riverwing)

Rivermist nodded, her tail curling around Skykit. She looked at Hawkwing and seeing the faint nervousness in his eyes, she smiled faintly at him.

Sunstar stood. "Now that everything is figured out, I assume that you'll get used to clan life quickly Skykit." He said warmly, ending their small meeting

Skykit nodded at the golden tom. "Thank you Sunstar!" She mewled. She then glanced at her new caretakers. I'll make you guys proud! She thought with new determination. That determination quickly turned into confusion. "What do I do now?" She tilted her head to the side slightly while looking at the three cats.

Shadedpaw could not help cracking a smile. She popped right up, steered around to the back of the den so nocat knew she was listening from her den. Then, she walked out and strained her eyes through the den to see Skykit. What was weird was, she usually could not see through the plants guarding the large and spacious rock. She went out and did some hunting. Some deer passed by as Shadedpaw smelled their flesh. She thought, They cannot be hard to catch, or that bad to eat. Those graceful little things... She dashes up a tree, sneak attacking it as it was building some sort of deer den. Shadedpaw knew it was huge, but she thought it would be at least a tiny bit harder to catch. Smelling it for any sort of sickness, she agreed to herself that it was fine. She dragged it back to camp, heaving. It took so long for her to bring the large prey back.

Falconflight stretched her stiff muscles, sore from inactivity. Hunger gnawed at the pit of her stomach, sharp and urgent, warring with the adrenaline from her successful hunt with Sunstar. The graceful cat padded over to the fresh kill pile and selected a plump, tender vole. Just as she began to tuck into its meat, an unfamiliar scent drifted by. She lifted her head and intelligent emerald eyes scanned the camp. Her intent gaze fell on a little kit, together with Hawkwing and Rivermist. A new member. Forgetting the vole completely, Falcon bounded over and reached the trio in several leaping strides. She touched the kit's shoulder gently. "Welcome to LakeClan. We welcome you as one of our own," she purred warmly. "I am Falconflight, Deputy of LakeClan. What's your name?"
