Thaddeus ("Tad")
Thaddeus prefers being called Tad because it sounds less pretentious and also because if he needed his name to scare people off for him he would be a weak demon he thinks. Tad is a demon so he doesn't really have a designed sex since he can shape shift significantly. Demon ranks aren't as much of a big thing as human depict them to be , in Hell there's only 3 ranks , diminished, empowered, enlightened, and everyone just calls them level 1,2 and 3, then of course the the big guy, you know, Satan. Anyways, everyone starts out as a level 2 demon and as you get assigned jobs and successfully complete them you get a chance to move up the ranks, but then again demons are demons so many end up really messing up and being cast a level lower, level 3. The few who get a chance at becoming more powerful , level 3 demons always accept it, let's face it , what kind of demon wouldn't like to attain even more ways to scare people or mess the world up.Level 2 demons can shift to more human-looking forms but level 3 demons can also make things appear, Thad is level 3 so while he prefers he or they pronouns he will at times change his form to female just to mess with the tourists in a different way or to wear dresses. Thad loves playing pranks, harmless pranks that is, he doesn't like hurting anyone outside of his job, which he considers fair because they're hurting the local flora and fauna. Thad loves learning and observing so he spends the time he's wandering the grounds looking for tourists and such

Judas
A hellhound called Judas, get it ?
Judas is kind of a jokester,he became a hellhound because of his family's death. After the reactor exploded they tried to run away but their car couldn't take more than the 8 people really crammed into the 5 seats, so they had to leave him behind, saying they'd come back for him as soon as this blew over. They left him with the grandma who had insisted on staying, saying she was gonna die soon anyways and that she's be a liability. True to her word she died a few days after the accident, and after eating all the food in the house Judas began starving, so he decided to wander the woods around the city to find any kind of meat he could survive on. He stumbled upon several rotting deer carcasses but they all smelled rotten and had turned a sickly color over the last weeks. Judas was on the verge of death when Tad stumbled upon him, he didn't make contact as not to scare the dog and watched from afar as finally in his starved date the dog gave in and took a bit out of a deer's hind. Tad approached the dog , who in the meantime had collapsed, and picked him up, running to Pete. Pete, being Tad's friend, was easily convinced to the dog could help Tad do his job as well as keep him company, so he touched Judas , who sprang back to life , licking Pete right in the face. If that pup just knew who he had licked he might not have been as carefree about it at the moment but Pete let it slide, after all resurrection was something to celebrate. Judas also helps Tad from having his mood swings, which are very quick to happen and can be sparked by almost nothing at times.

Tad is used by the devil, more commonly known by his closer friends as Pete ,to scare the tourists (or wandering teenagers ) from the gates of Hell , which to be honest there are a whole lot, as well as their secret "bases". Since Chernobyl's failure , the abandoned factories and hospitals have been used as their main meeting spots and kind of "on-earth" local headquarters. Tad's job involves wandering the grounds around the grounds of Chernobyl to scare not the helpful scientists, but the photographers who come in and stomp on nature's progress and the tourists who like to stick their noses where they don't belong "because it's an adventure" .His other job is to make sure that the people that touch any kind of radioactive residue somehow suffer the consequences. Best case scenario someone loses a finger , worst case scenario Timmy will end up without a dad, all because Mr. Ross just "had to" touch that suspicious looking mushroom for the sake of a picture " think of how cool it will look when I put this picture on the wall in my cubicle!!!" , or when a spider bites him because "you know I find spiders fascinating and wait till I tell the guys at the office what I did this summer!". Tad doesn't really feel bad though because Tad really loves how nature is actually replacing all the damage done and he loves the animals, especially the wolves because they play with Judas quite well, and no matter how rough they are they can't really hurt a hellhound you know?

Lemony clutched the cream-colored book in his hands, watching as the green smog swirled in the air. It was true beauty, but that beauty came at a price; the world was a toxic wasteland, with nothing left to offer.

Beatrice, his shadow, sat dutifully at his side. She was one of the few things he had left, not including the precious book he had with him. She was very quiet but very skilled.

Slowly he lifted the milky book in the air. The title he knew by heart; The End by Lemony Snicket. The depressed author and his unreachable lover was where they- Lemony and Beatrice- had gotten their names.

"I cherished, you perished. The world's been nightmarished," he said aloud. It was his absolute favorite quote from the 13 book series Series of Unfortunate Events.

Beatrice nodded, staring at the smog. This was the world they lived in. A neon green smog decorated most of the land and most natural resources were unfit for use. What humans had done to the sacred ground was absolutely astonishing, even if you were used to it.

The way Lemony's gas mask clinged to his head now comforted him. It was his way of knowing he was safe from the dangers that approached from every direction.

He stared at his hand now, slowly moving from his ring to the Roman numeral XIII scrawled on the back of his hand. It was such an unlucky number, he thought. But he still adored it. The number was a very large part of him and he knew it.

Lemony and Beatrice, much like their namesakes, were very unfortunate. They were lucky that they survived nuclear war and that they still had each other. However, this went not without its consequences. The radiation left Beatrice in a constant steaming state and radioactive masses dripping from Lemony's body. He may be used to it now, but the world was a radiation-filled hole of despair, and it was only time 'till it all fell apart.
