No, I joined in '10 I didn't adopt my Joker, I traded for it.

You could adopt one in '08 and you have a chance at adopting one on December 18th every year. :p

Some people are nice enough to give others a joker for free but most the time you have to trade for one or bid on one during an auction..and like Haru said you have a chance of getting one every year on December 18th
