Name:Zuto- meaning "White leaf"
Gender:male
What kind of family does this viscet dream of?: Though he loves his adopted mother, he wishes he could have a normal family- biologically related, mother and father, and siblings.
Extras/otherZuto! The small Viscet turns around, hearing the sound of the Keeper call for him as she throws a bucket of gloppy soup into the trough. “Come over here!”
“Yay!” Zuto replies, rushing from his small bed space to start his dinner. His excited voice echoes through the large barn, slightly and quickly going over the Moos and the Oinks that dominated the sound. His paws hit the hay that covered the floor, the fresh dried grass still smelling of the mysterious outside world and the high, small windows shimmering moonlight.
Zuto looked excitedly at the cold soup, then dag into the potato liquid. A man watched, arms crossed and smiling as he looked down at the bunch of Visclings. “Beautiful ones, ey?” He chuckled, staring at the batch of Visclings. The mother had been fed a pill that made her able to have more Viscets in one breeding, causing her to painfully birth five Viscets before the eggs were sent to incubation. “Momma and Dadda had some show-worthy Viscets!”
The Keeper sighed as she stood beside the man, watching the siblings fill their stomachs. However, as she caught a glimpse of Zuto, a worried look passed her face. “Hey, Zuto...he hasn’t grown very much lately...” Her eyes glanced at the other Viscets, who would pretty soon stand on their own, while Zuto stood quite well with his four legs. “Do you think...?”
“It can’t be possible...surely a Viscet like Lana wouldn’t her genes mutated like that...”
“It might be possible, with all the drugs we gave her. They did say genes could be mutated....”
The man turned towards her. “Let’s wait and see, maybe he’s just growing slow.”
The woman sighed. “Hopefully.”

A few months later, the man looked proudly at his new bunch to sell. Four strong, healthy, beautiful Viscets, ready for the contest or breeding life. He felt amazed, another successful batch.
“Viscets!” the keeper called out, and the strong Viscets ran towards the fine food that awaited them.
As they ate the gourmet, he gazed upon the young adults. He smiled, knowing this money would help him with his financial problems. However, his fears replaced his joy when he saw it come in.
Zuto.
As the others raced on their two legs, Zuto seemed to skip in joy to the slop called soup. Though his siblings seemed a bit saddened at the sight of their mutated brother eat disgusting goop, Zuto seemed unaware of their depressed glares and happily ate whatever was in front of him.
The keeper noticed the man walk slowly up to her. “Zuto...he’s, uh, not looking so good.”
Her eyes inspected the Viscet-aged baby. “Yeah, he’s mutated. No way in denying.”
“Dammit! He was the best out of the bunch!” The man sighed, digging his face deep in his hands. “No one wants one of his kind, not even a poor family.”
“He was a really cute one, a polite one as well.” The keeper almost wished to not pick up the small, portable cage. “But we have to do what we have to do. Zuto!” The little Viscling looked up from his food, green gloop dropping off his muzzle. The keeper chucked, and then a serious face forced upon her. “Can you come in this cage?”
The moment she finished her sentence, one of the grown Viscets looked up instantly with anger. It screamed, running right towards the keeper. The keeper cried in fear as the man instantly called for help, leaving Zuto confused and scared.
“What’s wrong?” Zuto’s squeak tried to overlap the anger of the Viscet. Go!” his sister, Konalia, replied, then returned to growling at the human, leaving a fearful look on the female human’s eyes.
Zuto stared, then began to walk backwards, then turned around and ran. His paws kicked up the hay, leaving a cloud of yellow thin sticks behind. His fur flew in the air that fought against him, and his mane slicked backwards as the wind rushed past it. He pinned his ears down at the sound of Konalia roaring and the keeper screaming.
As he saw a small hole in the wall, his legs pushed harder as his breath began to fade. He heaved for air as he ducked to get out the hole. But just as his paw touched the outside dust, he felt a pair of cold, furless hand grab him by the sides. He was instantly brought up to a haystack nearby, a muzzle put over him and thrown into the cage before he could tell what was going on. He cried out as the cage squeaked closed, making a rattling sound as it locked.
♡♡♡
He woke up to being inside of a vet. He’s been here before, though the cages are unfamiliar. Unlike most of the cages he was used to, where they had small, barley useful cages; he had a large cage that seemed to be filled with lots of fun. “This is great!” Zuto squeaked, exploring the mini jungle, though the walls were seeable. Instead of the metal bars that would allow the Viscling to stick his paws out of, strong glass protected him from Zuto escaping.
He jumped around the cage, looking at all the tree trunks, holding holes to hide the small Viscling. He was surprised to see that the hidden privacy was large, as if meant to easily fit any size Viscet. After finally finding a place not too wide, easily fitting his size, he relaxed from the sounds of the soft, man-made waterfall song that placed quietly around the cage.
After a few hours of just relaxing, he heard a loud shriek easily belonging to a female Viscet.
“No!” She cried, hoping that the humans would understand her Viscet noises, “Please don’t do this! I’ll change!”
He heard a slam of a door, the something banging on the glass. “You don’t understand! Please! Just let me go this time! I never did anything wrong!”
After quite awhile of unrelaxing screams of agony and depression, the Viscet sighed and seemly gave up. “Hello?” Her voice, calmed own, echoed around the room. “I know you’re here. Your scent covers the entire room!” He heard her claws scrape against the floor, the small clicks of tiny metal clinging together. Zuto stayed quiet, holding his breath, hoping the Viscet wouldn’t find him. However, his efforts failed, as he flinched as a Viscet’s head popped in from the hole.
The Viscet seemed to have a hair mutation unlike any mutation he’d seen. While most corresponded to the normal head crest, going backwards and such, her hair flowed downwards, hiding part of her face. Her hair, black with streaks of blue and a blue umbre, lay silk-like on the ground of the hiding spot.
Her eyes were a bit strange. Unlike most Viscets, her eyes seemed more to be like a ring of neon blue. Her eye white was black, and her eyes were a blue with a black outer color. Her pupils were hardly notable. Her fur, almost as dark as midnight, shone a few white freckles, blue squares, and a grey snakebite.
“Oh! Hello there!” She cheerfully called, “whatcha doin in here?”
“Trying to sleep,” He grumbled, then turned the other way to not face her
Chuckling, her paw, covered by a glove that ended at the beginning of her fingers, reached towards him and pulled him in close. “Say, what do we have here?” She nipped at something Zuto had not felt on his neck. A collar. “Green, as I suspected.” She ripped it off, the strong metal easily snapping in the strong teeth. “C’mon, we’re escaping this place.”
“Why? This cage is amazing; it’s got everything!” Zuto thought about the cage; warm, lots to explore, so much to do.
“Don’t fall for them. They want to do something that I’d rather not say.”
“What is?”
The Viscet shook her head, her hair moving slowly as she did. “It’s not something I should tell you.” She stuck her head out of the hole, looking to her right, revealing her side of her face without hair, which was flipped on the other side of her face. The only way the hair stayed in was a small human skull hair clip that held a streak of blue hair. Her feather earring had a gradient of green and blue. After inspecting the room a bit by moving her small ring of blue for an eye and jerking her head in different directions, she looked back in the hole. “Just trust me, alright?”
“Fine...” he replied, not really wanting to argue with this rather punk Viscet. As he stepped out the hole, the bright light of the room blinded his eyes. As he adjusted to his surrounded, he noticed how small of a Viscet she was, a few feet smaller than most Viscets.
She was covered in warped bright blue squares, clusters of white dots, and black stripes that covered her back. Elbow and leg fluffs, her other mutations, were a bright blue. Her back mane, her tail fluff, and her bottom mane had a gradient of black and blue. The warped squared seemed to cluster together at the end of her tail. At the very end of her tail, upside down blue triangles missing their bottom side trailed on her tail. A blue outline of a heart rested on her shoulder.
And of course, she had more accessories. Around her neck was a necklace with a strange charm on the end. It was a circle, half red, half white. The colors were separated by a black line, and, in the middle, there was a grey dot. Two bracelets, together by a chain, held on tight to her tail. Her back feet were grasped by spike bracelets.
“Here’s the plan; we’ll wait until the humans come in to take us away. We are much larger, stronger, and more intimidating then them,” she looked at the small Viscling, “Well, at least I am.” Zuto growled, throwing The Viscet into a laughing fit. She then sighed and got up. “I’m sorry, I’m so rude. My name is Kaz. What about you?”
“Zuto,” The male didn’t feel that appreciative of Kaz, as she seemed to treat him like a child.
Oh wait.
“Zuto. That’s a really nice name. What does it me-“The door suddenly opened, and Kaz seemed to notice imminently. “Go! Now’s our only chance!”
Kaz bolted out the door, and Zuto had to try to catch up to her. As he ran out of the room, his paws thudding on the hard floor, he heard humans began running for help. He heard their yells, a loud alarm, and enough running footsteps to hurt any Viscet ears. Kaz looked behind her, noticing the struggling Viscling. She stopped for a second before scooping him off of his paw steps before running towards the door. Zuto noticed some men ready to jump on her as she grew closer to the door.
And then it happened.
Sounds of broken glass, sharp objects piercing his skin. Blood slightly pouring on him. The wind blowing against him. Yells of anger. Shouts of war.
Zuto couldn’t open his eyes.
♡♡♡
“Are you ok?” Even though the loud sounds had since faded a long time ago, Zuto had refused to open his eyes. Even with the calming running steps of Kaz and the wind blowing in the night, the forest did not have Zuto’s trust. He had heard of many things, like large, fat furry animals called bears that can rip even the strongest Viscet to pieces without trying, and bugs that could eat you inside out.
“Are there any bears around?” Zuto shook in fear, have been dropped onto the ground by the adult.
“Haha, don’t worry hun, no bears live anywhere near here. All of them were killed by humans”
“Oh...”
Are humans really that bad? To kill every bear?“Hey, do you know anyone out here?” The question made Zuto realize he was alone out here.
“No...” Zuto replied, trying to find the way they came from.
I shouldn’t have kept my eyes closed...“You can live with me...” Kaz seemed a bit shy as she asked, as if it was something to be shameful of.
“Really? Ok!”
She seemed a bit surprised with Zuto’s approval. “Yay! Just know though, you may never get a sibling...”
“Why? Are you infertile?”
“No...It’s something you’ll understand later.” She sighed. “Thought you’ll see me with many girls...”
“Are girls your favorite?”
Kaz grew a smile and chucked. ‘I guess you can say that.
