Swiftstar moved on to the next kit, Thornkit. "Thornkit, it is now your turn. Please step forward." she meowed, searching the crowd for the young kit. It seemed like he was bristling in excitement.

Sandclaw had a huge smile on his face from ear to ear. He was so proud if his kits.

Thornkit stepped out of the crowd.

Swiftstar looked at him. "Thornkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Thornpaw. Your mentor will be Hawkfeather.  I hope he will pass down all he knows on to you. " she looked at hawkfeather, he seemed delighted to be thornkit's mentor. "Hawkfeather,, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from your former mentor, and you have shown yourself to be humble and truthful. You will be the mentor of Thornpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him."

Hawkfeather touched noses with his new apprentice and sat down, cheering out his name after Sandclaw.

Thornpaw sat down and ducked his head.

Maplekit purred.

Hollytail cheered for her kit.

Swiftstar was wobdering why Thornkit ducked his head. Was he embarrassed or something? She honestly didn't know, so the leader just continued with the ceremony. "Lastly, Maplekit please step forward." she looked through the crowd and spotted the small kit, almost apprentice.

Maplekit limped slightly as she padded forward. Her leg was hurt but her eyes were briming.

Swiftstar felt pity for the young kit. She looked at her and recited the traditional words. "Maplekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Maplekit. Your mentor will be Rockmask. I hope Rockmask will pass down all he knows on to you." she said turning to him. "Rockmask, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from your former mentor, and you have shown yourself to be fierce and loyal. You will be the mentor of Maplepaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her."

Sandclaw cheered excitedly for his kit. He felt tears dripping down his cheeks and he was thinking that they were growing up so fast and too quickly. He wanted them to stay kits forever. It was not often that he cried.

Tigerheart cheered for each new apprentice as they were called.

Swiftstar continued once her clanmates quieted down. "Alright, now it's time for Fadedpaw to become a warrior!" she meowed excitedly. "Fadedpaw, please step forward."

Fadedpaw was surprised at Swiftstar's kindness. She was actually going to make him into a warrior, after all he did? He stwpped forward proudly and looked at his leader with respect.

The fluffy, lynx point she-cat padded into the clearing and sat down as the ceremonies began. Her fluffy tail was curled neatly around her paws as she looked up, listening to the leader. She cheered for the kits as they were apprenticed.

The energetic, brown tabby raced into the clearing as the leader called for the cats to gather. He pricked his ears forward as he listened to her make announcements and he cheered with the rest of the cats, falling silent once Fadedpaw moved forward. Cedarpaw had personally always found him to be grumpy, but that didn't mean that he wouldn't make a great warrior.

The dark orange apprentice sat down with her tail sweeping back and forth excitedly as the leader made the kits into apprentices. The clan needed as many apprentices as it could get and the new apprentices seemed pretty happy about it, too. Her bright green gaze was set on Fadedpaw as he stepped forward to become a warrior.
