Band-Dragon

xxxxxBand-Dragons are extremely rare, and they can shrink and camouflage as loom-band bracelets, so they seem even less-common than they already are. They also have the ability to feel like loom-bands, but in reality they are ‘bracelets’ made of dragon scales.
xxxxxBand-Dragons have an immense store of magic, but, despite this, they’re often found sleeping—which is what they are usually doing in their band form—and to wake them up, all you need to do is remove the bracelet and lay it on the ground. However, this policy only succeeds if the dragon is fond of you and/or wants to awaken.
xxxxxLike most dragons, Band-Dragons, too, have spiked wings, and can breathe fire the colour of their scales upon hatching, even in band form, but, as a band, they shoot flames, rather than breathe it, and, if the dragon/band is fond of the wearer, the can alter their fire so that it does not hurt him/her. The reason for this amazing ability is unknown.
xxxxxThey are not often ridden, but they can shed two or three spikes if needed.
xxxxxMaturing at two years of age, they are also old enough to mate, with females laying eggs that take three months to hatch two months later.
xxxxxFound in numerous places throughout the world, they are most common as their band form in human settlements.
xxxxxThey can also live to be one thousand.

Mouse Dragon

xxxxxMouse Dragons are one of the smallest recorded dragons in the world, the largest ones only reach the size of a newly-hatched Magical.
xxxxxAlways darkly coloured, they are experts in the art of camouflage, and, unlike most dragons, they have rounded wings rather than the usual points. As well as this, another oddity is that they have club-tails, not unlike Ridge-backs. But unlike those dragons, they have spikes running down their spine rather than a ridge.
xxxxxDespite their small size, Mouse Dragons’ under-sized clubs pack a powerful punch; sometimes strong enough to break bones.
xxxxxThey are able to breathe fire at a week of age, and it is often a shade lighter than the dragon’s scales.
xxxxxThey both mature and can mate at twelve months of age; eggs are laid one month later and hatch after the same time has lapsed.
xxxxxAlthough supposedly possessing only a very little magic, they can nevertheless do amazing things. Things that won’t yet be revealed here, sadly.
xxxxxUsually found in forests they often live to the age of one hundred.

Silent Assassin

xxxxxSilent Assassins are aptly named for more reasons than one, not the least of which is their dark colouring, which is usually black, dark blue or brown, deep purple, or, very rarely, a rich red.
xxxxxThey also have two layers of scales, which is part of their amazing uniqueness. The first layer is sharp and can lift up from the other, like smaller—for a dragon—stouter porcupine quills, while the under layer serves as a protective armour.
xxxxxAs well as the normal row of spine spikes, Silent Assassins have hooked spikes on their tummies, the front and back of their legs, and running up their wings. They also have one on their nose and another on the backs of their pointed ears—yes, unlike most of the other species, both genders have spiked ears.
xxxxxAnother thing that makes them unique, is that they have oversized spikes ringing their necks like spiked collars that they can flare out.
xxxxxUnlike most dragons their wings are protected, too, being scales, rather than the usual membrane. Their wings also have large spikes which usually lie flat against the surrounding scales, but can be extended outward. The tips are actually spikes, too.
xxxxxTheir tails are also well protected, having scattered spikes on the undersides, as well as razor-sharp blades near the end and a pointy tip.
xxxxxAlso on their legs—or, rather, in their legs—are extendable claws, smaller in size than on the tops of their wings, and nearer to the claws in the base/back of each foot.
xxxxxIn regards to their wings’ sizes, they are a little larger than normal, but the reason for their owl-like, silent flight is the unique scale pattern on their wings, allowing air to pass through almost noiselessly.
xxxxxA few spikes in the bases of their necks can retract into individual pockets to allow for riding—not unlike Storm-riders.
xxxxxSilent Assassins have an in-built machine like thing near their other organs that produces and stores a super-charged acetylene that ignites on contact with oxygen and burns white hot, but it can also be coloured a light blue.
xxxxxTheir young can breathe fire from hatching.
xxxxxAt six years of age, Silent Assassins are only just big enough to ride, but their wing-muscles aren’t yet strong enough to bear a rider in flight. Around nine Silent Assassins are able to fly with a rider, but they have the gift of solo flight from hatching.
Nine years is also the age Silent Assassins are able to mate.
xxxxxThe many eggs are incubated for six months, guarded fiercely by both parents—eggs are lain two months after mating.
xxxxxBecause of regular snacking on Fire-Frogs—a hot, sulphurous smelling, fire-breathing amphibian—Silent Assassins’ scales are fire-proof. No other type of dragon experiences this curious side-effect.
xxxxxSilent Assassins seem to have no magic—luckily for their enemies—which is unusual among dragons, but they come from a small faraway island that only they can locate, not unlike homing pigeons.
xxxxxOn average, they usually live to be about five thousand.

A message for ShadowTheNightwing

Frozen Flamers have no horns, just plain spikes ranging from behind their ears to the ends of their tails. However, there are no spikes just before their wings to allow for riding.

Running from the beginning of their spikes to nearly to their nose, these dragons have an extra layer of scales that they can flare up when frightened or angry.

Their ears are normal; jagged and rising up from the sides of their heads.

# # #

Like many dragons, Frozen Flamers’ have three-toed feet with an extra claw extending from the heel. Their talons are serrated for gripping ice easier.

Their wings have large claws extending from the bat-like ‘fingers’, and another curves from the wings’ tips.

Frozen Flamers also have long, sharp needle-like spike protruding from the tips of their tails which they can launch toward a potential enemy or prey.

In general, their tails are long and sinewy.

# # #

The dragon pictured has translucent wings, so her spikes and back are vaguely visible.

# # #

If you want to colour her (Idc either way) she’s deep-sea blue, her wings are clear with light-blue streaks like ice, and her spikes and claws are white.

# # #

She can breathe deep-sea blue fire, white frost, or frozen fire the same colour as her wings.

Thank you so much for doing this! I really appreciate it :D

Sorry I’ve taken so long :(

Stormrider

(Misfits of Vernada)

Author: Wren

xxxxxStormriders are large, larger than Sharpshooters. They have no spines on their backs, though they do have a horn on their head.
xxxxxAt the base of their tails, the bone widens out into a large circular structure, called a cludet. This is one of the Stormriders’ main defences, the others being claws, fangs and fire. They use it much like a club, swinging to both frighten and surprise the enemy.
xxxxxTheir wings are leathery, and bat like. They are about half the size of the dragon itself, size that is needed to keep them in the air.
xxxxxThey are usually fire-like colours. Black, red, orange and yellow are the most common, though they have been known to be other colours such as brown and purple.
xxxxxThey are often ferocious, and like to fight, often starting battles with other dragons and animals for the fun of it.
xxxxxThe egg is laid about six months after mating, and then hatches a year later. When the hatchling is born, they are completely white, and have no distinguishing features. They look almost exactly the same as Sharpshooters.
xxxxxThey gain the ability to fly at age one, and colour begins to show when they’re about five. They are fully-grown at seven, and can mate at that time.
