Paint-Tailed Pythons(PTP) are a unique breed of pythons that have paint seeping from their tail tips. PTP tend to be slightly smaller than their close cousins, ball pythons, females being around 2-3 feet long and males 1-2 feet long. Hatchlings are dramatically smaller at only 5 inches long.
Pythons tend to be quite intelligent, and PTP are no exception. PTP tend to be quite shy when first introduced to their owners, but will warm up quickly and soon become inseparable. PTP have exceptionally long lifespans, and have been known to live for upwards of 60 years.

I could hardly see this snake, they're so dark, they blended right into the night sky! They seem unharmed and pretty docile, so I figured I'd adopt them out first.

They're covered in weird mineral growths. Some kind of gems?

Background~ Ah.. as a star it was magnificent. I loved how quiet and beautiful it was as I looked at the many galaxies.. I loved that humans admired stars as well, I felt beautiful. Being a star really does show your true colors. Than one day I could feel fear inside me, I felt cold and weak. Suddenly my beautiful light began to fade and I shook.. Suddenly particles fell off me, but they glowed faintly with life. My life was at an end.. but new life was being created. Suddenly I felt at peace, fading into the galaxy. When i opened my eyes I was so small, hanging onto a piece of rock as it shot at great speeds. My fear ride was not over yet, as it raced toward the plant we call Earth I can feel heat rising around me. It was like a hundred explosions before one big one shook and a large crater was formed. When I awoke I was no longer a small glowing particle. I had a body, I could feel the ground below me. It was such a strange and wonderful feeling? but why.. shouldn't I die just like the dying meteor? I glanced over at the meteor as heat came off it which I felt drawn to. That's when i saw something shiny upon what humans call a tail. It was a strange liquid and gemstones coating my body.. Scapolite I somehow know the name of them gem on me. It shines like the galaxy... it reminded me of my friends. Now whenever I see that faint shine I can't help, but want to be up in the galaxy and look upon the planets happily.
