I found out when making my first animal based oc~ Someone asked (in a rude way like it was a bad thing which is really sad to me) if i was a furry. I said no at the time because i didnt know what it was! So i looked it up and found out it was a large and rather kind community and joined in~ that was a few years ago~

Ahhh...! I haven't posted in so long I feel bad XD I see someone already noticed my username change, but yes hello I'm Pink, thought I should re-introduce myself. Checkie is listed as my main character, and I guess that still fits since he's the only one I have 'suit plans for.

Recently, though, I've been debating revamping my current 'sona, Wren, or choosing Dezzy or Angel to take over and retire Wren. Has anyone here ever changed 'sonas who might have some advice or be able to share their experience with me?

Has anyone here ever been to anthro con? I'd love to go but I'm a bit scared and I don't know what to expect.

I haven't been, but I've been to other big cons and it really is so much easier to make friends. Everyone who had the guts to come alone or with only one or two others start to branch out and find each other through little things like conversation in line, chatting while waiting, or just complementing costumes. It does seem daunting, but I think you'll have great fun if you go with good expectations and the extra 'umph' to step out of your comfort zone a little <3

Don't worry about changing/revamping sonas! I personally have had 4 before settling on my 5th, and final fursona Sock. Though I may be incredibly bias, changing/revamping sonas is a-okay since we do change and maybe your current just doesn't fit who you really are anymore. Regardless of what you do, good luck! Hopefully the new improved sona will make you more happy and better represent you. (:

I've always love animals and I've always adored all the things about anthro animals and the fandom before I knew it existed. I can't remember when or how but I stumbled onto the fandom somehow online.

Has anyone here ever been to anthro con? I'd love to go but I'm a bit scared and I don't know what to expect.

I haven't gone yet, but I have heard about it from other people. They tell me it's really big, one of the biggest cons in America. I've heard it's pretty fun, and a lot easier to talk to people because unlike smaller cons there are less cliques. Either way, if you go some year, you'll probably have a lot of fun!

Small correction, it is actually the biggest furcon in the world. I've never gone myself, but on Friday I will be leaving for Midwest Furfest, the second largest furcon in the world. I'll be sure to share my experiences(both in and out of costume, i'll probably suit up some of Friday and most of Saturday) when I get back on Sunday!

I know it has been mentioned already, but i heard people talking about secret santa a while ago? Like, doing a bit of an art exchange of characters. Is that still a thing that's going to happen? Will you need to fill out a form?

I'm making my own partial suit but idk what to make the pawpads out of on the gloves? I cant get the latex/rubber stuff most people use (not enough money). Anyone know any alternatives?

I know when I was making them for a friend, I certainly didn't have enough money to buy them! my friend supplied me with some fur scraps but that was it. I went out to get some fur for them, and I found this really smooth, kind of leathery stuff called "Blackboard Vinyl". it works like a charm! it has a natural smoothness to it, and its really cheap. I got 3 yards (because I also make different stuff w/ it) for about 7.50$ at JoAnn fabrics, but I definitely know other stores sell it.
