The guppies will be eaten if they're put in the pond. Goldfish and definitely koi get big enough to snack on guppies. Depending on the temperature where you are it could also be too cold for them, guppies tend to do better with warmer water than goldfish need.
You cannot eat love, nor buy a horse with it, nor warm your halls on a cold night

That's why we're trying to figure out what to do with them. Section off a part of the pond or supply more covering/places to hide.
I thought the water temperature might be a problem, but they came from a pond (with goldfish) that's unheated and all fish were doing fine apparently, I wasn't there though.

They are about 3 inches, not sure on age.
I think I'm gonna get a feeding bowl for now since they are on frozen blood worms. Once they switch to nightcrawlers I'll work with them on eating off a stick.
ohhh okay that makes more sense
I fed bloodworms and they are just an absolute mess. Have you tried using a turkey baster to drop and pick up any extras in the bowl you feed in? That worked for me really well before she moved up to night crawlers(:

i've been wanting to redo my two split ten gallon betta tanks for ages now, and it looks like i'll finally be able to soon! i would really like to finally throw out all the plastic plants and replace them with live ones but i'm having a hard time understanding how the best way to do this would be. my tanks have been setup for a couple months now, i'm worried about doing something wrong and harming my boys or the plants hgngn. so my questions are-
should i add a few live plants at a time or all at once? i'm guessing a few, so i can see how they do before adding the rest in.
i have sand substrate, would that be okay for plants to grow in or would i need a layer of something beneath the sand (like unfertilized soil)?
/runs back to researching

I don't think it matters if you replace all at once or not. Actually doing it in little at time might be better and that way you'll also be able to see which plants thrive and which don't. So you won't accidentally end up with totally bare tank.
Sand is fine as substrate. If you want to use some sort of root fertilizer then there's several kinds of root tab etc which are pushed into the sand near the plant
Can we pretend that the airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now...
