Shia's train of thought was doing some radically extreme parkour, and Ferondir blinked, a bit lost.
"What's up? Were you there or something?"

Shia wasn't sure how to answer. "I... No, I wasn't there..." Should I tell him? ... I think I should. "It's just... My parents died when I was eight."

Ferondir was glad, now, that he had returned her hug.
"It looks like we both are missing large portions of our heart."
He touched the jewel on the neck of his cloak. "This is my mother's favorite stone. It always stays warm, even on the coldest of nights. I keep it with me whenever I leave the academy. Do you have some remnant of your family too?"

Disability? Guzore wasn't aware of Della having one, and she didn't appear to have any mental issues. Judging by how she remarked it affecting her ability to make potions, he guessed it might be related to her senses. He regained his train of thought (for once) and answered Della.
When I was a young Goron, I was actually pretty shy. I didn't talk to very many other Gorons, but I really wanted to play games with them. Every time I tried though, I got nervous and went to read a book by myself or something.
Guzore put his hand on his chin as he remembered his youth.
I kept on trying to get my self out there though, and over time, I gradually became better at talking to the other Gorons. I tried telling jokes to start conversations, and it didn't always go that well, but I eventually became really good at making friends.
He pointed at the potion that Zeph had given Della, which was sticking out of her bag.
I bet that if you practice and give it your best shot, you'll get better at making potions too. You'll never know if you don't try, am I right? Hohoho!!

"I have been practicing..." Della muttered, but thought about it for awhile. "Yeah, alright I guess you're right." She decided, looking up at Guzore. "I'll start practicing then." She grinned. "Maybe I should make something for Zeph. I mean he only wronged me once and I have kind of been a jerk to him..." She paused, thinking. "Alright! Once I get the proper materials, I'll make potions for you all!"

Sapphire heard movement, and her gaze darted over to Shia and Ferondir. They were hugging it out. She knew she shouldn't stare, but she couldn't help it. Ferondir touched a gem on the neck of his cloak. She strained her sharp hearing, which was better than a hylean's for underwater listening skills, over there. She heard Ferondir then say, "This is my mother's favorite stone. It always stays warm, even on the coldest of nights. I keep it with me whenever I leave the academy. Sapphire looked at her necklace, and the pretty aquamarine attached. She glanced back in their direction, now eavesdropping somewhat on their conversation, and still grasping her necklace, thinking about her parents. "I guess I'm not the only one... Thinking about her parents, she had a sorrowful and partially fearful look on her face.

Guzore laughed again.
Oh boy, I can't wait! Someday I should cook you all some delicious lava-cooked pumpkin soup! Gorons may not normally eat non-rocky food, but they sure can cook it!

Shia closed her eyes. "I have my memories. And..." She pulled out her knife, looking at it sadly. "I have this. My father gave it to me when I was little. Kind of strange, giving a knife to child, I know. But it's all I have left of him that's not in my head." I don't trust my mind to keep my memories safe... I'm glad I have my knife.

Della grinned happily. "I can't wait!" She declared, giving him a thumbs up. "How do you cook stuff over lava though? Wouldn't the pot just melt?" She asked curiously.

Not if it's an iron pot! Iron doesn't melt very easily, unlike brass and aluminium.
Guzore licked his lips as he recalled the taste of pumpkin soup, and then realized what they had gone back in time for.
