favorite winter pass-time: Spirit's favorite winter pass-time is nestling down by a warm fire and wrapping present for all the less fortunat, Spirit sneaks in by climbing down the chimney, being allowed to do this, at a local homeless shelter, surprising the children with great deals of gifts and goodies for the adults. He does it completely free, he believes that the children deserve a Christmas that he never got when he was young, he's an orphan and grew up homeless not getting many happy Christmas memories, he was given a chance and made himself get to where he is now and he wants nothing more,but for these families to have the best Christmas possible. He goes to many shelters in the surrounding area.

why do they have rocks in their fur?: Spirit has coal rocks in his fur from where he climbs down the chimneys, "lucky it's just coal rocks and not fire." He eventually pulls them out but sometimes at the end of December, but sometimes he forgets a few and leaves them there to remind him of the families lives he has changed this year.

Wren isn't keen on hollidays, too much stress. But he knows that others do, and that's good for business. See Wren knitts things, some things he keeps but most he makes to sell. Around winter and Christmas he creates beautiful hand made socks and on occasion scarfs.
why do they have rocks in their fur?:
Wren may look like a winter boy but he is anything but. He gets cold very easily and this is hard to help when the winter comes around. Wren will attach the rocks to his fur in various ways and sit by the fire. Since the rocks stay warm longer than his fur does he can have small bit of warmth for a while so he can work away from the fire without shivering all his fur right off.

His favorite passtime is an old classic, making snow angels!
why do they have rocks in their fur?:
When this pale scribble was little, he was a bit of a spoiled brat. He would show off his flashy new toys, and mock the 'peasants'. He would play mean tricks, and became quite the prankster. Then, something happened to humble the young scribble, and to this day, he wears keeps little pieces of coal in his thick, bushy tail, to remind himself of the less fortunate, and to be accessible easily, so he can share the gift of warmth to those shivering in the December frost. He offers a chunk of coal to all those he encounters on his travels, and most scribbles don't understand the significance of these rocks to Clarence. To most, a chunk of coal symbolizes naughtiness, and after his incident, he kept them in his fur to remind himself of how naughty he was. As his guilt passed, the meaning grew into something new. Coal is warmth, and he believes if something that is a prevalent symbol for naughty, can actually do some good in the world, then so can he.

why do they have rocks in their fur?: All of the coal father christmas gives him is like his 'souvenirs' from santa. He had never gotten an actual present, other than their first christmas, in which Oikawa got his volleyball.
